Shadyrest

Shadyrest is a small village nestled on the southern edge of Brethil Eryn, nestled on the southern tip of Luinilael Bay. Primarily inhabited by humans, Shadyrest serves as a frequent stop for travelers heading towards the bustling port city of Váyalondë.   The villagers are skilled hunters and trappers, providing game and pelts to the markets of Váyalondë. They also offer lodging and provisions to weary travelers, making a modest living from the passing trade.   While the villagers of Shadyrest generally maintain a peaceful coexistence with the elves of Mélamar, there is an underlying tension between the two communities. The humans, with their more pragmatic and materialistic outlook, often clash with the elves' reverence for nature and their more spiritual approach to life. Disagreements over logging rights, hunting grounds, and the impact of human activity on the forest are common, leading to occasional friction and misunderstandings.
