Aelin-uial
Aelin-uial is a town of contrasts, nestled on the southern shore of Lurkwood Lake. While the surrounding landscape is dominated by the vibrant green of the Minneline Plains and the deep emerald of Taurë Melehtalda, Aelin-uial has a distinctly eerie atmosphere. The town's architecture reflects this, with many buildings covered in a thick layer of moss, despite the best efforts of the residents to keep them clean.
The population of Aelin-uial is a diverse mix of wood elves and orcs, two races that might not typically be found living in close proximity. The elves, with their reverence for nature, have found a strange harmony with the orcs, whose strength and resilience are invaluable in this often-unsettling environment. The elves primarily engage in trade, utilizing their connection to the lake for fishing and their knowledge of the surrounding forests for gathering valuable resources. The orcs, with their strength and martial prowess, often serve as guards and mercenaries, protecting the town from the dangers that lurk within the nearby forests and the unsettling proximity of the haunted ruins of Fúmëaira. A ferry service operates across the lake, connecting Aelin-uial with the village of Duskbourne on the opposite shore, providing a vital link between the two communities.
