The Reignhold Alliance was the first political coalition to rise from the ashes of the devastation of the Long War, born of necessity rather than lofty ideals. Forged through the historic Reignhold Treaty, it was conceived as a continental compact of sovereign Terran states committed to preserving peace across Aesersia without surrendering their hard-won autonomy or influence. Unlike the centralized Empire of old, the Reignhold Alliance governs through fraught committee negotiations and deliberately limited authority. Its member states span diverse cultures, histories, and grudges, bound together by shared religious concordance in The Eightfold Faith, mutual economic interest, and the pragmatic conviction that fragmentation would spell ruin. In its early decades the Reignhold Alliance was led by veterans of imperial administration and seasoned military leaders whose tempered realism prevented renewed continental conflict. Today, the Reignhold Alliance remains the operative backbone of Terran cooperation for all Acarcia: stabilizing yet brittle, indispensable yet often resented by its own members.
