Protesend
Shattered Remains of Western Aesersia
Prior to the Day of Agony, the province was known as the Prothinoria however much of what constitutes the territory was lost in the Shattering, either to the catastrophe itself or from their warring neighbors in the ensuing chaos. The devastated realm is now called Protesend, a cruel play on "Proth's End". Residents were collectively known as Prothians, based on the native terran tribes, the Prout who ruled the ancient forests of Proutlend.
Inspired by Medieval Croatia, Romania, and Hungary.
Territories
Esteres
The Esteres Baronies are all that remains of old Prothinoria. These few minor territories are unified under a shared vision of restoring the Prouth legecy at all cost. Residents have long been known as Esterians, but are made up of countless different ethnic groups formerly native to larger Prothinoria. Once the eastern duchy of Estepia, the baronies of Esteres are also known as the Edgewoods.Wildereich
Once central Prothinoria, the verdant Wildereich are now corrupted by the raw chaotic mageia released from the Shattering. Once the enormous forest known as the Heartwoods, pride of the former duchies of Wilterphia and Galdophia, this cursed region is now known by most as the Deadwoods. The few bold souls who reside within this territory are known as Wilderfolk. The Wasterlend
The scarred remains of western Prothinoria and the epicenter of the Day of Agony, the Wasterlend suffered the worst from the Shattering. Prior to Shattering, this realm was made up of three different duchies, Credopia, Wellaphia, and Hungrepia as well as the primordial Wisewoods. Now this cursed land is mockingly called the Warpwoods, though nothing natural grows here. Only the truly deranged dwell within the sickening aura of the Wasterlend, and they are collectively known as Wasterfolk.
