Attistock

Archivist's Excerpt from: Orphan Heights: An Official History, CVI 42.4

Situated on the "inward" portion of Algary Quarter, Attistock functions as something of a bridge between the rest of Orphan and the Quarter as a whole, being its gateway to the Merchant Circles and Bellamy Park. On its east end, one will find the Lager than Life Pub to wet one's whistle, though little in terms of grand entertainment, other than being home to Orphan's own hard-hitting investigative periodical, the Hilldiver, housed in old № 412 Cavendish.

Architecture

Attistock lacks the expansive housing that characterizes Harchester, though it does have plenty of its own. It was once home to many of the early office buildings of Orphan Heights, which then became the offices of the various burgeoning branches of the Orphan Heights Corps. of Engineers, and after that became the offices of some of specifically the Corps. of Tramway Engineers and Corps. of Limeiron Forgers. Many now sit empty, or are rented out by the Municipal General to locals in need of workspace, or to area gits wanted to publish lunatic periodicals out of a squat room. This lent itself to the whole area of Cavendish Lane being colloquially known, between the presence of both the Hilldiver and the office of the late Agnes Esker as "Crazy Lane," a moniker that Attistock has yet to shake.
