London Row
Archivist's Excerpt from: Alone in the Cold: The Story of Orphan Towne, its Strange History, & its Stranger Occupants, CVI 42.4
Nestled in the heart of Harchester is a long stretch of brownstone tenements not far from Tanno's Landing. Like the other residential lanes of Orphan Towne, London Row is named "row" precisely because it is, quite literally, a row of homes, modest though they may be. Many are directly connected to the next, though quite a few are distinct, and even have some character to them. It is hardly what one would call a scenic place to live, but many of the wives of London Row deal with that by way of potted plants and knickknacks.
Up the lane a ways and on the higher level, one would come upon London Park, which provides at least a bit more greenery than the potted plants alone to the neighborhood, especially since the latter are quite difficult to keep alive.
