Famous for its hardy cheddar soup with these little strips and crumbled bits of bacon on top (it's well worth the four pence), the Songbird Cafe is a favourite lunch haunt among many of Harchester and Attistock's labourers.

Owned by Cleveland DeWitt, of the famous bird-breeding DeWitt family, the cafe is not technically located on the Merchant Circles themselves but is a member of the Extension through the Merchant Interchange.
