Oak Knowers

A brief description:

• Druidic Circle
• Group of leaders from each of the tribes and companies inhabiting Kargast and Karkebi, except for the Glendatis territory such as the coast.
• Some outcasts who fled their professional training in the Heno City States and decided to settle in the wilds of Kargast.
• They mainly used Citron resources and were known to be at odds with the Morgana dynasty's love of Brine.
• They got some incredible backup from Vespula clans such as Catuvellani Aballo that allowed them to keep the invading Glendatis at bay for now

Their public agenda (purpose, mission, aims)

• Arbiters, money-lenders (they are interest free lenders), resource distribution, disaster relief
• Basically a warrior elite of the warrior elite who take care of smaller kingdoms in exchange for support and tributes
• Basically the only true military power that Kargast has, and tangentially Karkebi

Describe their visuals (flag, motto, uniform)

• Their flag is black with a white, lopsided spiral in the centre
• They have three sacred laws, so a lot of three symbolism
• They wear all black and grey when they meet, and only copper and bronze jewelery

Their secret agenda (if they have one)

• Their ways are starting to die out.

The High Priest of Penaval and a celebrated one at that. Is definitely into the occult. Offerings and donations to Lugbelen's temple benefit the Abellion Valley Hospital, which has recently gained a diplomatic grant from one of the Heno's minor Caers. Lugbelen is often replaced by imposters.

One of the Glendatis "hostages" in Golden Medlar, his family has partial ownership of the valley and is part of their cult. Hoyt is enamored with Conmaro and it's possible they are lovers. He runs the actual hospital and medical tourism has become a huge draw to Golden Medlar and given them a lot of chances to propagandize. Conmaro was the first Glendatis to be part of the Oak Knowers, and one of the last as well.

Wendy and Hywel's adoptive mother and a leading figure in the Golden Medlar cult, she is the high priestess of the head temple. as well as the main humor cleric. She is originally from Threatening Valley but was part of many Kubeleya moving from the harsh mining mountain settlements to open, refreshed and healing land of Golden Medlar.

Verthel is in charge of Uffern's Seed Vault and also heads the largest Brimstone research and mining facility in the West. Her elite guild are the inventors of refrigeration, but her giant complex also includes schools for Straif, Bloodstone, and is Allied with the Karkebi school for Copper Arsenic that Vice Mehnot graduated from.

An Emissary for Lou Hen, who rules the Guidgen Mountain Chasms and their forests. He is from a different war band than Belvran and are more aggressive having settled in the barren mountains just prior to a mini ice age.

Conmael is one of Lou Hen's advisors and sometimes works with Casvallan. He is a bit more at home in the forests than civilization as he knows it. He runs the largest Heavy Metal school outside of Sealtland (and Heno Empire proper) and it remains the largest until the Heavy Metal schools of Cadmia merge centuries later. Sheena later claims that she has dreams about Conmael and that he might be her biological father, but this is probably not true.

Lou Hen is from a prestigious and divine dynasty of magicians in Karkebi, and rules most of the area but is particularly involved in the Guidgen Mountains. He is a known immortal and shapeshifter.

Rodri looks like he's from the coastal Pompila who eat seaweed, due to his genetic origins, but he eats something that causes him to have shock braces in that were put in. He carries around seaweed to seem harmless, but he's frightening on the battlefield. He is a truly frightening figure, leader of the anti-mancer and anti-godsibb unit for much of Karkebi. He igured out how to use the radio to warn an ally of impending invasion by the Glendatis, which the other Oak Knowers were eventually pressured into condemning. Rodri originally controlled all of Karkebi as High King of the Chaff, but abdicated and hid out in Abellion Orchards as he was friendly with Cimbelin. He taught Avalach about radiowaves as well as Electum. So Avalach has a much more sympathetic opinion of Rodri than others.
