Rodoric Maur
Rodoric is from Outer Karkebi and grew up in hostile and extreme conditions, but his talent earned him a scholarship at Atelier Benjoin Karkebi, a school focused on Citron magic. He would briefly meet his future wife Bleddynia, who was 9 years his senior, at this school but his foray into electric radio and video transmissions became too radical and seemingly he was expelled at the height of his young career. Only the influence of Caedir Citron and Catuvellani Aballo kept him part of the Court of Heavenly Tears, and with the sponsorship of Cimbelin Abellion he was able to start over in Threatening Valley where he became somewhat of a warlord.
Rodoric wears a shock headgear that stops his jaw from biting down, something he developed in his training in order to hide his diet, which consists of Kubeleya and particularly Gvaneti due to their prominence in Kargast. However, he has never been caught eating so while the cannibal rumours aren't quite true, they're also not completely unfounded as no one who eats seaweed needs a shocking headgear to restrain themselves. He allows rumors that he eats his fellow Pompila and Vepulan sister species, the Cynipina, to persist as misdirection.
