Olin got mad. Like really mad. And kinda exploded, shunting himself into an entirely different body, on an entirely different plane of existence, in a prison, which he escaped from. Can he figure out how to get back to his own body?
The group has bed down for the night in a room in The Nook, an inn, past The Quilted Cavern. Flick managed to contact a scion of Bahamut and he managed to also reach Khaiseraiz, who appears to be his patron. He also took a symbol from Ospreay and used Legend Lore on it.....learning some very interesting things. We pick up right after that.
We continue our fight within the Crownset Caverns, making our way towards the Quilted Cavern, a shop, at one of the lesser known entries to the Underrush mines. This happens to be the area that a few clans of goblins have taken up residence in, as they are not looked at highly in the over city of Jrusar.
We pick up where we left off, with most of the party having taken a reprieve in Flick's lamp, but Pipus being absent. Upon exiting from the lamp, A note stabbed in the ground with a knife with blood on it was found. The 3 people who were arrested were let loose--what purpose would that serve? Jade's gone quiet, and Reillo has gone missing, and somewhere close, another seems to be lurking.
Flick, going through a doorway was met by another...him...? Olin, sensing a thread connected to him start to fray and split, yanked on it, and shunted the rest of the Wandering Scholars to....whereever it is Flick is... and the group are met with doubles of themselves. What does this mean? Is there something to learn here, or is it just some sort of sick game? Can something be gained or won?
After being in Arden's home and seeing that there are folks from the Silent Divine who have survived there, the party discusses options of what to do next. They plan to go back to the barn, and try to rescue those who have remained kidnapped and kept like cattle in the barn. They also have intent to pick off any of the vampires that they can without compromising the mission to get the rest of the people out. After the people are out, they have decided that they need to deal with the main big scary guy.
After regrouping in the Necromancer's Sewers, the group wakes up to find that Guen has forgotten the encounter where she almost died. Armed with information of some creatures to be wary of, will the wandering scholars attempt to reenter skulden arma and find the way home?
Having set up camp above the digsite of R?, the group settles in for another evening in the desert, with little direction other than where Iwo was doing research, and the notes of the research.
Upon traveling on board the Mourning Star, a few things seem to be strange. First, the Captain did not seem worried when heading to a rift. Second, what is with Markess? Third, does Gigi get a kick out of launching folks into the air? Starting day 2 of our journey towards Bassuras.
Immediately following the gala, the party is still with Riely, before she returns and they get payment. They have intentions with meeting up with Francis in the morning at the shipyard in the morning. Once in the shipyard, its onto hiring a vessel and setting off towards.... R?
Beginning with Day 3 of the Political Gala, the group makes plans of how to continue forward, feeling fairly certain they can sway people to support their actions. Ushru and Bragga do start arguing a bit more by the end of the second night. The morning following Day 3, the group is set to meet Francis and set off towards Bassuras.
The group has plans to attend a 3 day event to do a job for Pyriel. They also have plans to meet with Francis Summerpike, the gnomeish mapmaker.
Upon killing monsters, the inverted octagonal tower seems to be having a strange effect on Pipus. The group decides to seek out whatever lies ahead. Prepared or not, we will find out. :)
Johannes, Flick, and Pipus ran after the promise of ability to practice magic in fighting monsters, Guen and Olin Returned to the inn for a restful night. What monsters lay ahead, and what path will they choose to pursue?
Selling skulls, scaring the homeless, a weird flipping of perspective, Picking up supplies, and finding things that inform next steps possibly...
Having signed up as a group, Olin, Pipus, Guen, Flick and Johannes all compete for fun in the town run competitions before the challenge against other team(s) in the Circled Tomb.
Ank'Harel has many things to offer to those who seek out what they are looking for. One of the best ways to gain notoriety in the city and have doors opened for you is to compete in the Annual Festival of Merit. This festival is on the 7th of Misuthar, also known as the Day of Challenging. It is a celebration of the Storm Lord and a joyous festival at the rains that he might bring their way (as they are in a desert). This festival is looked at differently by those above the common ground and those below it, and sometimes, losing certain challenges can open doors you might just want to enter. Regardless, be prepared to join the locals in their Festival of Merit!!
This will most likely be split into two sessions, one with each group of people who may know each other. This is to get the characters more comfortable with another, and also to get some of their motivational threads started. It is also a place to check in, and see if there are things that need to be discussed story-wise.
This is just a chill session where I will tell you about the setting you will be playing in, era that it is, and we will discuss desired themes, lines and bales, and length of the campaign. We will then go about creating a level 2 character for everyone for the campaign. This level 2 character will level up to level 3 after session 0, and we will start all together at level 3.
