An organization of people interested in Hisory
This group is seen as a docile one. It is not one that seeks out confrontation unlike the other criminal organizations. Their mission statement seems to be one of preserving history, and uncovering the unknown. They seem to seek knowledge. Which is one of the main reasons many a scholar will work with this group. Often it is only a few days to gain expertise before the individual returns to where they were before. On rare occasion this group commissions people for the long term
Secretive Origins:
The Ironbane have a murky history, most if they have the inclination to search for the founding might only find that they seemed to appear suddenly. A great many who have done extensive research on this group have gone missing and have not turned up since.
It can be assumed there is some sort of initiation that takes place upon them bringing you into the fold or those who seek to join enter. However, it is all speculation. The organization itself seems to have branches with presence in most well defined areas across Marquet. At this time the Cobalt Soul is unsure if their reach goes beyond, as it is only within the last 20 years that their presence has increased in Marquet.
As we are unsure their motive, it is suggested to treat any relation with those in the brown cloaks with crimson on the bottom (like pictured to the right, though the color is off in the image shown), with extreme caution....
