Session 25: The Coven and the Manibeasts

General Summary

A bit different start. The players did a full summary of the game up to this point. Then we crafted a 'red string charlie' or 'conspiracy theory' or 'murder board' as a group. This image has been shared on the party's Discord server.   Olin and Ospreay successfully made their way to the blue cloaked figure out of The Silent Divine's fenceline, and met an individual who is insect like with two arms as their primary arms, two more that are small and thin looking unused, and two primary legs, The cloak is really a hood, and the flowy part was wings. The eyes were big and bulbous, with two antennae that protrude from the top of the head. They were dressed in dark blue clothing and in the darkening woods not much other detail was made out on this figure. They introduced themself as Arden, and Olin put it together that this is Arden Dumas.   Flick and Guen continued in town trying to find the leader of the bunch. Pipus saw Gerge, and they shared a few words with Gerge telling Pipus to leave since a perimeter alarm had gone off and the coven was swarming to the center with feral instincts. Guen adn Flick were intent to meet the person in charge, and Pipus went to the barn where the upper floor was eerily silent, but there were animals in pens. Guen and Flick encountered 10 of this coven of vampires.... a motley crew if you will.... and witnessed a part man-part dragon-beast hybrid come in seeming to be the leader. Pipus ran into the fray as the two went down, and recognized the monstrous beast-person and saw Gerge save their friends with a healing potion allowing Flick to Dimension Door away. Then Gerge started fighting Pipus and with their shared history Pipus understood Gerge was trying to get Pipus to flee as well. It took a few hours but Pipus found the other two and they decided to bed down for the night.   Pipus is having an interesting dream. Its the desert, with the gigantic swords again, and they start to clear away dirt on one of the blades when they see a rune-or marking on it. That is when the manibeasts descended. with four of them on them, and with effort they fight trying to get free. When they are nearing the end of their life, a figure appears and 3 are vaporized then the fourth, and we left with Pipus staring up at a large looming figure with a nasty boned and bloody sword a crown on their skeletal head.
