Session 21: Skulden Arma Report

General Summary

The group reconvenes in the Necromancer Underground Base. Nissa requests that Ret look into the moving statue, and goes with the group into the Skulden Arma. In their travels, they encounter a slug minefield, and all feel a wave of mental fatigue as they leave the marsh and get to the dirt and stone between that and a Sage Forest. They take a moment to sit and rest and talk next steps. After the group gets up and proceeeds to enter the forest. Flick and Guen try to get some fire vine, as Olin walks on his way following the directions on the compass as the forest's maze makes way for him. The others after getting the root follow, and as the trees grow out reaching to Flick, Flick abandons the fire ivy root (reluctantly) and they track Olin's path through the wood.   Olin arrives first to a clearing with a humble manor looming before him, with lanterns on the wrap-around porch. Approaching to investigate, there are little wisps casting a glow from the lanterns. The door to the manor opens and Olin enters. He goes in and meets with The Sage Witch, the Swamp Shrew, the Memory Dealer, and is told that for answers to his questions, he just needs to offer something of equal value.   Upon Exiting, Guen enters, and her interaction results in her getting a lantern that seems to be of her memories back, a price having been paid by her mother.   Flick sneaks through the house to the back and sees the portal not funcitoning, and starts to freak out when Guen comes through the house and tells him about the lady she got her lantern from. ((Side Note: Flick saw one that said Pipus on it)). Being told of the lady, Flick starts destroying lanterns and freaking out that Olin is inside.   Olin made 3 deals: one for information about his god, one for the larger lantern of white wisps that felt important, and one for her to grant them passage back to his plane. Upon giving answers, she and Olin exit the house with Nissa on their heels and seek to stop Flick from harming her and all of the lanterns she has. Olin attacks Flick, Nissa grapples him, and Guen helps the Memory Dealer activate the portal, and they are all shunted away from there.   To where? I guess we will see :)
