Toreador

Clan of the Rose, Divas, Degenerates, Artists.

The Toreador are one of the fourteen vampiric clans. Known for their seductive nature, enthralling demeanour and eloquent grace. The Toreador Embrace amongst artists and lovers alike.
Though they have garnered a reputation as divas, degenerates and perverts. Nothing could be further from the truth. What most from other clans don't see is the Clan of the Rose's pursuit of perfection. Be that Embracing a talented painters, sculptors, architects, actors or writers, their sires stern tutors whipping them (usually figuratively) until they have perfected their craft. Embracing individuals whose physical beauty is at the pinnacle of what mortals can achieve, making even the most discerning Diva weep and their gorgeousness. Or Embracing those with a discerning eye for details and patterns. New advisors to make sure their clan's talents and potential childer are up to standard.

Embrace

The Clan of the Rose's elders will stress how selective the clan's Embraces are. They will only Embrace those whom are at the pinnacle of mortal capability in their craft. Upholding a standard of perfection amongst its members.
However, their clan's curse often affects their judgement during Embraces. Many a Diva Embraces in the heat of passion. Making for them flings that after a few years are abandoned for a lonely eternity. Or artists that had one great breakthrough in their art. Then after the Toreador sire Embraces them, obsessed with seeing their childer capture that lightning in the bottle again, are tossed by the wayside when they don't meet expectations.

Clan Disciplines

Auspex

Blessed and cursed with a unique perspective on the world, seeing how everything flows like blood in veins, pulses like breathing; the life in the world. They are naturally inclined to this discipline. Letting them find usually unseen patterns and hidden perspectives; or even just find interesting individuals with unique experiences to offer the Diva.

Celerity

Usually used by the Toreador in their crafts or to quickly feed upon a mortal before they realize their fangs have pierced the mortal's neck. When forced to fight, the Artists can strike at blurring speed. Often ending a fight before anyone has realized they have become mincemeat.

Presence

The Toreadors' bread-and-butter. Often called their signature discipline. When used in conjunction with Auspex their mastery of Presence has been used to great effect to both sway and terrify mortals and Kindred alike.

Bane

Aesthetic Fixation

A desire for beauty takes control over the Toreador and when in lesser surroundings they suffer. When they are within settings they find less than beautiful, they take a penalty equal to their Bane Severity when using Disciplines.

Compulsion

Obsession

Utterly obsessed with a single thing, the Toreador cannot speak of anything but that object. Be it a person, a piece of artwork, a blood splatter in the right lighting, or the sunrise itself, they cannot take their attention from it. Any other actions receive a two-dice penalty. This Compulsion lasts until they can no longer perceive the object or the scene ends.
