Humanity
Empathy is a STAT, and for each point of EMP you have, you have 10 points of Humanity. As you undergo Humanity Loss, you'll lose points of Humanity. Every time you lose enough Humanity that the ten's place on your Humanity changes, like going from 50 Humanity to 46 Humanity, your EMP is effectively lowered, in this case, EMP 5 goes to EMP 4.
A Medtech can perform therapy on someone to restore 2d6 Humanity to them. The Edgerunner then goes on cooldown and can attend another therapy session 7 days after. They can also supplement this, but finding medtech NPCs scattered in Arcadia that restore 4d6 humanity every 14 days, at the cost of 1000eb. Both of these can be used at the same time. There are other ways of gaining humanity back, Arcadia often throws parties and events. Being part of a community, feeling empathy and human once more can restore humanity, likewise during gigs a good act can spark hope. Or a bad act can remove it.
What if i don't want this cyberware in me?
That is quite easily feasible! By navigating to our discord, and opening a 'Remove Cyberware' ticket our Staff will easily remove the outdated tech from your body.
Cyberware with the exception of a neuroport, permanently reduces your maximum Humanity by 2. Borgware reduces this by 4. This maximum is restored should the cyberware be extracted.
Cyberpsychosis
Cyberpsychosis is not necessarily always violent. Not all "cyberpsychos" are violent in fact. However, in a number of cases, particularly those who have already manifested some sociopathic tendencies, will find those tendencies expanded to a dangerous level. As your Empathy gets lower and lower, you are expected to Roleplay accordingly:- Empathy equal or more than 3 - No cyberpsychosis or dissociative disorder.
- Empathy equal or more than 2 - Borderline dissociative disorder.
- Empathy equal or more than 1 - Dissociative disorder, borderline cyberpsychosis.
- Empathy equal to 0 - Cyberpsychosis. Your character is meant to go berserk and unhinged. Character death.
