Olympus
The Fey homeland of Olympus, filled with vast forests and jungles and grassy plains. To the south though lies a dark region no one dares venture, known as the Shadow Wood. On its northern coast sits Evergreen City, the capital of Olympus.
In the heart of the continent is the aptly named Heartwood. In fact one may notice as they journey through this lush and green land, that nearly all of the cities and towns and villages are named for trees. But the Fey are as diverse as humans. There are the Gelvaran, who occupy a siginificant portion of the country, who are themselves divided between the conservative and traditional Wood Gelvaran, and the more liberal City Gelvaran.
The Shadow Wood region in the south is occupied primarily by the authoritarian Dusgelvan Empire, while the Lotus Islands are occupied by a varienty of different elves.
On the Eastern coast of Olympus sits Babul, the capital of the Suunelvan, or Sun Elves. While the Gelvaran culture and architecture is heavily inspired by Greece and that of the Dusgelvan Empire is inspired by Russia and Germany, the culture and architecture of the Sun Elves in the east is inspired by India.
Geography
Olympus is a lush green continent with forests and jungles, grassy plains and hills for as far as the eye can see. It has multiple rivers and lakes and pond scattered all through the continent. However, far to the south, on the southern coast of the continent lies a dense and dark swampy region known as the Shadow Wood. Most avoid this place, for the rumours that it is haunted.
Ecosystem Cycles
Olympus is a temperate climate going through a normal temperate cycle through the seasons.
Climate
Olmypus is a more temperate climate, though it is wet and humid.
Fauna & Flora
So many varieties of plants and Mystimon live here, that it would take all day to list them all! A common flower native only to Olympus, which is actually a weed, are dracolyns. There are also really dense heartwood trees in the central region of the continent.
The People
Olympus is the home of the Fey, also known as Elves. Nearly all elvan ethnicities live in this vast and beautifully lush land. Among the common Gelvaran are also the Suunelvan living on the eastern coast, the Nyyselvan and Welkelvan living in the Lotus Islands off the southern coast, and finally the shadowy Dusgelvan Empire living in the Shadow Wood.
Other people living here include the frog-people Azume, various Costori, and many tribes of Goblurins. There are also whispers of a small secluded Wekan family group living somewhere deep in the Spindle Plateau that supposedly have been spotted a few times.
Natural Resources
Olympus is known all over the world for its rich resources, such as wood, fertile soil for which to grow crops, all kinds of different Mystimon, and of course plenty of wood with all of those trees in the forests and jungles. One resource it is most known for is a type of wood called Heartwood, a purplish wood that is denser than any other hardwood, and as strong as steel.
Tourism
People will come from all over the world to experience the awe and wonder of the lush forests, and the rich culture of Evergreen City.
