Faaridra
These mythical protectors of the forest have stood watch over the forests for generations. Sightings of these creatures are rare, but in every instance, they are protecting and watching over smaller Mystimon, and even children. It is said that they watch over and protect those who are unable to defend themselves. They had always been considered just a story told by children. That is until one fateful encounter.

Discovery
From the notes of Doctor Ivan Sanderson.
"I was to depart Evergreen City and head home to Almahna within the day, just a couple of weeks after my encounter with the Faari, when I heard word that a young girl had gone missing somewhere in the woods. I could not leave in such a state, so I postponed by departure and immediately joined the search effort. For three days and two nights, we searched the woods tirelessly, without a single sign of where the girl could be. Everyone was growing concerned with every hour that passed without news. I knew from previous such searches I had accompanied that it was imperative the child be found quickly as the odds of their survival dropped every passing hour.
On the third night, I was just writing a note to send to Jane by Crowl letting her know I was likely to be a bit longer getting home, sitting in my tent, as I decided to camp out in hopes of finding the child more easily. As I wrote my last words, I happened to look up out the opening of my tent for just a moment. And that was when I saw it: a glowing pattern of different colour lights off in the distance. I immediately dropped my quill as I sat up, grabbed up my lantern and my hat and set off on my way toward the lights. The different colour lights told me this could not just be a mere Ghostar, and my previous encounter with the creatures I had dubbed Faari was similar to this, but not quite as bright and not quite as large as this appeared to be.
Indeed as I continued towards the lights, they grew larger and brighter and the patterns more distinct until I reached a clearing, as the lights seemed to fade away. There, sitting next to a tree was the little girl! I ran over to her and saw to her, and she appeared to be healthy, thank the Gods! As I set to work on picking her up to carry her back to town, I looked up for just a moment to see a large serpentine form just past the trees with massive butterfly-like wings looking back at me with distinct bright green eyes. I could hardly believe my eyes. It could only possibly be an Evo'ed form of Faari! And it appeared that the creature led me to the girl! That was the only possible explanation. I feel quite strongly that this girl is alive now because of this creature, this protector of the forest."
For years after, up until his death in 1392, Doctor Ivan Sanderson continued to exchange letters with the girl, Naevys Aurora. This would be a story passed down in the Aurora family for generations. Even Fleur Aurora-Ariann speaks of it from time to time.
