Elephanci

These huge animals have long been fixtures in Almahna and Olympus. They are huge quadrupedal beasts with large ear flaps, grey in colour, long tusks protruding from its mouth and a long trunk appendage for a nose. They are docile creatures, though the ones in Almahna tend to be a little more aggressive in protecting their brood, mostly from having to deal with large predators such as Terragators and Burroworms.   There's also physical differences between Almahnan Elephanci and Olympian Elephanci, in that Olympian ones are smaller in stature, and have smaller ear flaps and shorter tusks.

Discovery

From the notes of Doctor Ivan Sanderson.   "From my observation of these marvelous beasts, they appear to be in a lot of ways, alot like us. What I mean by that, is just that there is a mother, there is a father, there are the younglings, and they all live together apart of one family group, even alongside the grandparents. The dominant ones in the family appear to be the mother, which is quite fascinating. These are truly remarkable beasts."
