Abyson ('Ab-iss-in')

They are quadrupedal canine creatures with a long narrow snout, covered in fur ranging from brown, to red, to grey, to even white. Their bodies are long and slender, and they can run quite fast, though not anywhere near the speed of a Cheetorex.

Males are often the alphas of their packs, while the females are obedient to them. They they have puppies, the mothers will stay behind in the burrows while the males bring back food.

Abysons are wide ranging creatures and very adaptable. They have been found anywhere from Almahna, to Olympus, to Atlantea, and even Highwind. The only place they have not been found is the Quatrica Islands.

They are carnivorous creatures, they often will prey on small Mystimon. But when hunting in packs they have been known to take down much larger animals, even solo hunters. They are much less likely to attack Mystimon or even people when they travel in groups.

These pack hunting creatures follow a single alpha male, and will prey on anything, small and large. But they are much less likely to attack anything traveling in groups.

A single pack contains a single alpha male. Males will often fight each other for dominance of the pack. The victor is the alpha. The alpha typically has first pick of mates, and the other males get seconds if you will. They are clever and devious creatures when hunting in packs, and have been known to come up with clever traps and ambushes. They are certainly smarter than most people give them credit for.

Abysons have a long narrow snout, large black or brown eyes, and a large nose, and short ears.

They have a very keen sense of smell, but largely at the expense of their eyesight and hearing. They have some of the best noses in the Mystimon kingdom, but some of the worst sense of vision, and very average hearing. They make up for it with their keen intellect.
