Pen Ding harbors a simmering grudge against two entities in the southern Ariac metropolis of Lalayïa: the esteemed Solharbor Antiquities and Exotics and the city's Magister, Tydorr Nilvo. The roots of his ire trace back to his youth, when, as a young goliath, he joined a maritime expedition under the banner of Solharbor Antiquities and Exotics. Though they promised him a fair share of the profits, upon his return, he found his earnings had vanished into the company’s coffers. Seeking justice, Pen took his case to court, only to be crushed by the weight of the company’s influence and the Magister’s indifference.
  Now, with his abilities honed and his resolve steeled, Pen contemplates the perfect time to exact his long-awaited vengeance.
