Hazra
The Kingdom of Hazra is the northernmost kingdom of Arheim, and dominates much of the Arheim Sea. It is younger than the other two kingdoms, at around one and a half thousand (conquering all other nearby competitors seven hundred and fifty years later). Powerful lords and ladies vie for the attention of the king, who grants them power according to their "merit." Hazra has the largest population and military thanks to Stormhaven and Greatmire, but relies on Zetia to feed them. Its royal bloodline, the Konarmo family, can be traced back centuries, and not once has the kingdom fallen outside of their control. The family leverages political power along with their government's advantage of location to get favorable trade deals, making their country wealthier than Zetia and Cirris, but it still falls behind others in Greater Smiltis in terms of raw gold and resources (the elves on the Disk are in the lead in this regard by a hefty margin).
Structure
The king is the most powerful man in the kingdom, with the queen being the most powerful woman. Under them are the Royal Councils, which is a collection of seven men and woman, who each represent a family. Each major city in Hazra has a Royal Council, which is tasked by the king and queen to both perform the day to day governing of a province as well as further a certain goal, such as reducing poverty in the city. Below the Council are bureaucratic stations such as governors or mayors, which does not require noble blood, and below them are the general population.
Public Agenda
The Hazra are a very strong willed people who think that ancient ways should be upheld and honored, but new policies should also not be ignored. While this is extremely difficult in practice, the Konarmo family does their best by interpreting this as keeping religion, architecture, and holidays the same instead of laws and inventions. The Hazra are also militaristic, and always have a standing army ready to push back against upstart rivals or a particularly threatening skirmish from one of the other two kingdoms.
Assets
The Hazra kingdom is rich with laborers, tradesman, and merchants. It also has large amounts of iron, copper, and silver mines. Old castles and forward lookout towers are commonly seen on old borders, which now serve as convenient places for resting armies to stay in. They also have the most land to build on and expand to, though they have to cut through the jungle to get to it until they reach the swamps and flood plains.
