Grand Basin

The most farmed area of Zetia and the location of its major cities, the Grand Basin is a large rural area suitable for agriculture thanks to its open fields, rich soil, and soft but consistent rainfalls. The basin is, despite its name, actually several hundred feet above sea level, and is called such because of its relative height compared to the Zetia Mountain Range, which it sits inside of. Because of this it has a cool climate that prevents farmers from heat stroke. The Grand Basin is the most desirable area of land in Arheim, but its lack of easy access has allowed Zetia to control it with a relatively small force for centuries, though it has been invaded over the course of zetian history.

Geography

The majority of the Grand Basin is large swaths of open fields, with sizable forests clinging to the sides of the area. The Leaky Cliff Lake takes its place in the North with rivers flowing out from the mountains into it. Blair Pass to the East is the only permanent way out of Zetia and into the other Kingdoms, the rest being small passes known only by the mountainfolk.

Natural Resources

The area's main resource is its verdant fields that allow for huge crop harvests and the farming of dye.
