Helltooth Mountains
Separating Northern Cirris from Hazra, the Helltooth mountains are a vast. largely impassible mountain range that take up most of Northeastern Arheim. The mountains have ferocious blizzards year round, with volcanic activity occurring commonly deeper within. A few of the Mountain folk have made this place their home, and it is thought that they have upwards of 20,000 people settled in the inhospitable climate.
Geography
The mountains of this area are sharp and jagged, resisting the smoothing effects of the winds via an unseen magical force. Greenery can be seen in the foothills but give way quickly to snow and ice. Frequent avalanches, blizzards, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes make the land inhospitable to most forms of life as well as make it impossible to accurately map the area in detail. Only mountainfolk guides can safely make it through to survivable valleys, but they have never done so for an outsider.
Natural Resources
The Helltooth Mountains undoubtedly have rich deposits of marble and ore, but the difficulty in even surveying for them has prevented any major discoveries in the area.
