Living Dead Droids

Things were getting interesting.
 
The kidnap victims were in the Clocktaurs' safe keeping in cryofreeze tubes, ready to be rescued by the landspeeder I had repaired.
 
Katari, an Ancient Sestian droid-like cybernetic living-dead, uh, person, who looked humanoid-ish, skeletal with a bird-like head like the local indiginous population of Sestia, who had been sleeping for many generations became my 'friend'. We explained what was happening, including a bit of lying. Katari, gave me a green crystal to deactivate the navigation core system.
 
Katari faced off with the Clocktaurs. The door hadn't closed. We heard them speak in droid until Katari said, "What do you mean you were ordered to?". There was a melodious voice. Katari said, "Horus my brother! ... What's wrong...?" Horus spoke strangely, then blaster bolts were fired - at Katari.
 
I gave the maintenance droid my shield belt, activated it, and sent it to assist Katari in the hallway.
 
Horus' horrible beam weapon explodes Katari's Awakeen-like component parts in his ribcage. The maintenance droid try to repair Katari, giving us a video feed in the process.

Danar uses fire suppression foam on their shields to blind them, then crosses hall to opposite door where there is a loading machines in lockers.
 
Then Vanya and SoZen appeared into the hallway and called them out. The blind Clocktaurs opened mass fire on her. She deflected all incoming blaster fire. SoZen bounced though the battle (like Yoda) and made life miserable for the third one. He found a fourth Clocktaur around the corner and also Horus, (like Katari but reddish with gold trim), whose eyes glowed blood red with mechanical hatred.
 
Errol tried to puzzle out the tech of Katari's parts on the floor.
 
SoZen defended with his lightsaber against the third Clocktaur which wanted to lay hands on him. Horus fired his same Pike energy beam at SoZen, who made sure that he was missed and the Clocktaur behind him was hit by the beam. It's leg exploded like each component was magnetically repelled from all the others.
 
Katari told Errol Von Dromas to run for safety while KIatari would hold them off.

The two clocktaurs with their shields interlocked exploded into a green glowing mushroom cloud.
 
SoZen evaded the damage, Captain Koleen lunged in front of Vanya and deflected the energy tidalwave to save Vanya, Errol, and Katari.
 
All the enemy shields were disabled by my trick. Danar Vorpaderan emerged from the other room into the hallway inside a loading machine he had found. He leapt in and kicked one of the Clocktaurs into another. Koleen's plasma blasters rendered the pile of them non-operational.
 
Then there was a planet quake.
 
SoZen found many more creatures like Katari and Horus approaching. He shut a door in the hallway and welded it shut with his lightsaber. He told everyone it would not hold them long.
 
I hurriedly powered up the four other loading machines Danar Vorpaderan had found. Captain Koleen deftly piloted one of them. Errol took another. With a little convincing, Katari took one. My maintenance droid could not operate the last one, so it followed as I took one.
 
Vanya decided that we should go through the main maintenance room, through a hallway, and into a medical bay full of the kidnapped victims, some still in bacta tanks. Vorpaderan organized the victims to get them ready for rescue.
 
We headed back to the cryochamber and started loading the kidnapped in freeze onto the grav stretchers. Some we recovered by starting the emergency defrost which had them awake in 10 minutes.
 
Kondo met us in our time of need and we recovered all of our charges to return them home.
 
The 'base' dissappeared under the sand when the next earthquake happened.
