Bringing the Hutts Around, Part 10

by KitKat the Mentat

There is no Part 9.

The following is written in Mentatese.

[/bold]Quick notes to myself: [/unbold]

There is a Clone=-Wars-Era massive ship of Nightsisters and their smaller ships which

Grand Admiral Thrawn and Sargon Xan Duran

the renegade Nightsister wants to be "reunited" with Damian Vorpadaran (TL+AF)

JN's Roladex of hand-written flimsy data cards could fill two 8x10 file cabinets.

Noki Sunfall using spacebending force power.

Alpha-8 seems to be trained in an offshoot subculture of the Mandalorean Way.

Today had some events.
Vanya wants to get the machinery that lets someone make and "control" reavers.
Captain Koleen wants to ship out the 37 people who were given parts of the involuntary Reaver treatment but are not fully converted to Reaver status.
Danar Vorpadaran checked the "False-Reavers" converted Wookies which he dispatched and started to research funerary customs.
The Nightsister checked in on the wounded with surprising empathy, speaking in a strange growly and snarly dialect that might be the Reavers' language.
I logged into the damaged NS' Battleship and found that the cleaning robots were very helpful with my request to have a mouse droid clean the floor of the hangar. The path the droid followed (especially the areas that it could not clean because landing gear were currently sitting on those spots) showed me that perhaps three wings of unmanned fighter-sized battle drones were parked in the hangar. (There might have been troop transports as well on a battleship like this, but the unmanned fighters were the first ships to bump the mouse droid as it cleaned.)
Vanya found the Sith Trooper had orders to deposit the Reavers and just let them do their thing. They could remote detonate the cybernetics in each Reaver. He heard this from an Outlaw Tech. They can also shut them down and "reboot" them.
Capt. Kollen says we need to repair enough shuttles from the floating junkyard to carry 37 potential reavers to the surface of the planet.
My sensors found:
The Luker Battleship does have 2 asssault shuttles that can take 40 people each.
Imperial Lambda classs shuttle with a black box saying that it was Bureau of Imperial Security Forces Palpatines secret police.

A Gertok (turtle shaped) single pilot could hold 20 people.
One GAR assault shuttle could handle 20.
They could both follow the Starrise Falcon inside its shields to safely land on the planet.

Alpha-8 says, "Sargon is Outlaw Tech", and he knows that Thrawn uses knowledge of opponents' culture to predict their choices.
Danar found (in the Reavers' personal photos) that the Katana Fleet was outside our galaxy and acquired a golden metallic repair material to fix cracks in their ships.

Danar found a scouting force of the Katana fleet is now orbiting the nearby Moderick gas giant. I verified his suspicions that the False- Reavers (or "Freevers", as Danar coined) , traveled from the outer rim syuddenly to the outside of the galaxy and back. Then they were in a medical lab (where presumably the Freever process was applied to them,)
There are different strains of the Reaver virus. This one has to be connected to the cyberware to activate it.

My Vor, Danar, asked me to keep an eye on his vital signs as he "tried something". I complied, of course. He went off. Over the comm-link he told me, "Here are the passwords for the log book in Spacer's Tears," followed by a few words in Wookie. Danar used his droid-mind-meld to access a mostly-dead Freever Wookie's cybernetics. There was a psychic safeguard unleashed inside the dead Wookie's head. Danar found a woman with almond shaped eyes was mentally speaking, "I am Aemnelle. Please bring Rodanch back." I felt a large amount of data move from the Wookie's mind to Danar's, a whole person's worth.

Vanya and Koleen suggested that I (in my Correlian Lounge Lizard disguise ) give Admiral Thrawn the regularly scheduled status update from his troops, advising him that Sargon (presumably) had added a self-destruct "feature" to some of his troops which we had disabled, and if he would like more details, then he would have to buy me a nice dinner with drinks.

With the help of Alpha-8, I wrote a "firmware upgrade" to delete the self-destruct feature from the Freavers. I also replaced the "Be Still" feature which could freeze them in place with acting notes I developed for my Correlian Lounge Lizard character to produce a laid-back, relaxed state of Dude.

Talked with Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Stars and wishes:
I don't care about loot.
I wasn't expecting to meet a Jedi. That changes things.
Alpha-8 says, "Sargon is Outlaw Tech"
Does it look like this? Ok, so that's interesting.
Freavers
The Reaver thing never gets you what you wanted.
Why can't anything be simple... Oh, that's why.
"You take a Mommy bad plan and a Daddy bad plan, and they get drunk and make some bad life decisions, and then you get this plan."
House VorThrawn and House VorSargon.
Please bring Rodanch back.
The base in space stays mostly in one place.
Weird science capers generate heretical papers.
