Some Caf might be nice.
We met the acquaintence of a whole-lotta Ravenguard and some (perhaps friendly-ish) droids.
Capt. Koleen also brought a moderate number of rescued slaves/hostages from Sublevel 6, which I'm sure have a story.
So'Zen left a young Twi'Lek gal (actually half-human-looking, with chestnut brown hair, which full-blood Twi'Lek's don't have) with us for our safe-keeping. She seems to be a 'Jedi' sort of issue to handle.
The droids (all of them being old B-1 "Roger, Roger" battle droids) tied up the five Sith-Troopers with what perhaps could be called "glee".
15 to 20 missiles were on racks nearby, (with hyper-gravitic generators (what could be called faulty hyper-space drives) as their warheads), perhaps awaiting delivery to their customers.
Danar Vorpadaran asked the young lady, Noki Sunfell, a bit of her background and found that she had been working on the assembly line for these weapons. As such, it appeared she could be instrumental in disarming them before they become even more unstable than they currently were. Almon D'Joy and I greatly enjoyed studying this new and barely-tested technology.
She explained that when it activates, it consumes the outer sphere structure to power the hyperspace rift.
We saw Captain Kolleen had disabled a second one. It appeared she had some experience with the workings of hyperspace drives.
Vanya told us, "Captain Kolleen is going to kill me," which meant that through this hyperspace rift, she detected Eztrigan (a giant angry presumably-evil squid with a shell on its back who claimed to be imprisoned by the Jedi ("Kenobi and the boy Skywalker" in particular) using an artifact, because he bought a world full of people from Grakkus(?) the Hutt.)
By that time, we had disarmed all the 20 missiles.
I noticed that the Rift seemed to be slowly drifting toward the nearest living beings. I estimated that we had about 5 minutes before it would reach the edge of the seemingly immobile safety force shield. I estimated that the safety field was more aimed at protecting the unexploded missiles than in protecting the droids and living people who worked the assembly line.
I theorized (with Danar) how to use the disassembled missile parts to create an interdictor anti-hyper-gravimetric device which would shut down such a rift as this.
Almon noted something new, "This could be bad." This Rift, after it had consumed all of its metal sphere fuel, continued to draw from the metal flooring. If anything, it seemed to be growing in power.
I heard in the next room, "I have no need to shoot you," and "Thank you, Captain."
Captain Kollen walked in just in time to help design and operate an interdictor device, much like an actual hyperdrive uses to jump rapidly out of hyperspace. I found that this shield was in fact a modified fire-suppression system's force field. It was able to allow a person (presumably a firefighter or other first-responder) to pass through. I adjusted the field while she connected two hyper-gravitic mines adjusted to reverse the rift. Together, we created a nice loud, "Foop!" sound as it worked completely successfully.
We had no deadly growing hyperspace rift in our area when we felt one of the 10 attachment clamps holding the base to the underside of the floating planetary sublayer be cut loose.
A very quick run through the maintenance console nearby showed me a fellow in a black helmet and carrying a red lightsaber (the one Danar had defeated in combat and forced to 'retreat' through a large hole in the floor). I think it was Danar who delegated the otherwise Jedi-ish problem to me. I had the base's maintenance system request the base's sensor systems to provide a heavy radio ping at the helmet.
It seemed to work. I asked maintenance droids to collect his stunned body and place it in the base's prison for Rebels.
The RGE-97 Droid represented his people to Lord Danar Vorpadaran. Danar mentioned the Awakeen as a possible government which might be amenable to their needs. It seemed to go well, but the droid received bad news via radio.
The sith fellow had escaped and gathered an assortment of red troopers. He was headed our way. Danar confronted him with one of the hypergravitic mines and a pistol held to it.
oh boy.
