Waikuri

Waikuris are shapeshifters that take the form of bestial humanoid wolves at the full moon due to a curse passed down by kāwhaos.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

The curse is passed down by bite either from a kāwhao or from another waikuri. A waikuri bitten by a lycan completely loses control during the transformation and it's fully subdued by the kāwhao will. But, if the bite come from another waikuri, they can learn to gain a partial control over their action. The further the line of infection is from a kāwhao, the weaker is the control on the individual.

Killing the kāwhao from which your curse come from can free you from it.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Waikuris are vulnerable to silver or magic and could instantly heal most wounds not inflicted by such weapons. Infected waikuris transform during the full moon involuntarily.
