Aireagóir

The so called "purest" humans due to the fact their Conairí, Cosán an'Eolaíochta, and environment does the least to alter the appearance of the species. The Aireagóir are gadgeteers, tinkerers, inventors, scientists, and scholars one and all.

Culture

Culture and cultural heritage

Cosán an'Eolaíochta almost seems to be the entire reason for existence to most Aireagóir, no matter which route they choose to take within that Conairí. As such all the Scientists are erudite scholars, masters of their chosen field - be it mechanical engineering, biology, chemistry, robotics, etc. Like the other races within the other four nations, Aireagóir culture is shaped by their Conairí down to even the most basic level and they expect instant gratification of any need or desire outside of their current project or experiment (which they never stop working on for a waking moment, always multitasking on their Gléas Físe) and even opt to consume tasteless nutrient rich pastes - or go a step further by taking nourishment intravenously.

Shared customary codes and values

Knowledge is valued above all else to most Aireagóir, followed by merit as a close second. They see no issue with actions such as human experimentation, gene-editing and eugenics, nor cybernetic enhancements - for them it is all about the pursuit of Cosán an'Eolaíochta to it's epitome, the goal justifies any means.

Average technological level

If Draíocht are masters of magical advancement bordering on being an advanced science, the Aireagóir have advanced so far scientifically that it resembles magic. Even their nation of Tír Tionscail is a massive city full of laboratories and factories, robotic servants tend to their every need, and the bright electrical lights never extinguish. The only nation in Ihmisen Keh'to more advanced than that of the Aireagóir (or their rival Ríocht na'Draíocht) is Na'Comhrialtas which is as advanced in every Conairí and uses whichever best serves the purposes at the moment - often combining aspects of several of them into one new technology as they did with Magitech.

Common Etiquette rules

Aireagóir are the polar opposite of the Soturi Ihmisiä when it comes to etiquette, cold and reserved instead of passionate and animated. They keep their physical distance from others and rarely speak loudly (unless a job requires it due to ambient noise) and to do otherwise is considered not only uncultured, but outright insulting.

Common Dress code

Whether due to their homeland of Tír Tionscail being mostly badlands and desert, or due to their sometimes dangerous experiments, Aireagóir are almost always covered from head to toe in protective clothing - from lab coats to ballistic armor and their Gléas Físe is an ever-present feature.

Art & Architecture

In the west, art and music comes in the form of complex machinery and the noise of industry interspersed by explosions. Meanwhile their architectural style is highly organized buildings made of stone, steel, and glass - but while much can be said for the efficient way they are built, nothing can be said about the aesthetics of those giant glass and steel square towers packed tightly together.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Aireagóir are always busy, perpetually in motion and such a status has led to many strange customs within Tír Tionscail. For example they rarely talk face-to-face with other busy westerners, instead communicating through Gléas Físe even when physically near someone - but it is considered rude to distract an Aireagóir from their work so even that level of communication is kept brief and to the point. It is also never expected for an Engineer to give all of their attention to one thing, constantly multitasking and they may be solving a complicated equation or creating some digital model while being ferried to and forth from work by their mechanical servants.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

It's hard to celebrate birth when most Aireagóir know neither their parents nor children. Gestated in chambers until the moment they're "Birthed" and immediately getting enrolled into the education system.

Coming of Age Rites

In contrast to the stark lack of celebration regarding their birth, Aireagóir hold their coming of age in high regard. Spending their youth in schools and colleges which give them all the information they need to be a functioning member of society in Tír Tionscail, they're considered adults once they graduate and chose their future profession based on their interests and talents in regards to Cosán an'Eolaíochta.

Funerary and Memorial customs

The shortest lived race of humans within Ihmisen Keh'to and with a obsessive adherence to their Conairí, even in death Aireagóir refuse to give up this passion. Their bodies are donated to science once they die, becoming organ donors for those in need or experimental research material - some have even gone so far as to map their consciousness onto their mechanical servant creating an immortal "copy" of themselves to continue their life's works.

Common Taboos

Westerners have little in the way of taboos, willing to do anything in pursuit of knowledge - though they do regard several things as extremely rude, such as interrupting someone while they work or invading their "personal space". If there would be one thing which Aireagóir would, however, regard as taboo it is plagiarizing another's work as your own - such an action can easily get one expelled from the education system before adulthood or forced out of The Megalopolis altogether.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

With dusky olive skin, thick black hair, and black eyes the Aireagóir for some reason seem to find machinery and complicated mathematical equations more beautiful than other humans, even within their own race. They'll become focused with fanatical excitement when talking about a new project or invention, but in comparison their reactions to other (mostly covered) engineers such excitement wanes to indifference.

Gender Ideals

Aireagóir have perhaps the most gender equality of all human races within Ihmisen Keh'to, based on their abilities everyone has their place within the machine that is Aontas na'Aireagáin no matter male or female.

Courtship Ideals

Westerners do not court mates, the only reasons they even seek them to begin with is due to government mandate and the further progress of Cosán an'Eolaíochta. For this end they seek those with the highest intellect and achievements among them to create the next generation with.

Relationship Ideals

The ideal relationship to an Aireagóir can't even qualify as a romantic relationship but that as a lead engineer and their assistant or partners in a project. They do not date nor they do not get married, propagation of the race is done in a very scientific manner without the direct interaction between the genders through artificial wombs and eugenic gene-modification.

Major organizations

Aontas na'Aireagáin, the nation of Tír Tionscail is the most notable organization of the Aireagóir and consists of a highly organized structure with departments for all its needs from agriculture and construction to military force and even reproduction (resulting in far too many organizations to list). Furthermore they have massive presence in the various guilds of Na'Comhrialtas, especially the Artisan's Guild.
