Rekettan Empire

The empire was founded by what is sometimes now referred to as either The Palace or Crowned House of Tulip. Queen Kesi'iloquet brought an end to a pre-common era war, and united virtually a whole land's Reketta population. Then, she made a large quantity happy by slowly dishing back out power across Several institutions, guilds, and former royalties. The Empire went on to pioneer technologies of electricity, bring out a large trade that entangled K'mosia's history, and was at one point close to bringing the Reketta as the dominant species.

Foreign Relations

Those that were not attacked considered the empire to be an exotic, sophisticated, and curious entity. Even those that were not hostile, held perceptions and ideas of what might happen if they endured an attack. Basillua faired better as a trade partner than K'mosia, which was more exploited. Seafarers told mixed stories of riches, delights, and horror from the concept of Rekettan interaction. The empire was both feared, and revered.

Trade & Transport

The reketta empire is partially big and proud because of how much they have come to make and throw out as goods, while the other sail from more scattered conflicts and industries that are closer in need of something. The things they more frequently might import, are things done more mostly out of their own ignorance, or an odd use they have. For example, few others have found anything special about Khaolite minerals, so the reketta gladly buy it up for both ornate and magic-denying properties. However they're also stupid enough to think Chocolate and coffee are poison, while also thinking they're delicious, just on the basis of not knowing how to process it out of a nut/seed form. Coal and Sparkstone and genuinely in demand though for their empire. Otherwise a lot of materials, are things they're sending out.   Often trades are done across (or rather right on) the seas. Ship trading is most common, as they're too busy fighting their eastern Kayotian mates to stop and make quick deals. So often they're also exporting things from the continent of Kayotia that they hold a lot of control over. That includes their own cacti juice, to more specific concoctions they've made like Amber Rum and select dishes. They were also the first to try publicly eating Tauren meat. Even their biggest gripe with trading away things, is somewhat broken, and an element like their weapons are still lenient when it comes to the weaker weapons like the 'Dance Dagger', or the ornate Gilda hammer where their beliefs get in the way of denying "Gilda's radiance" from being shared. So a lot of their more remarkable trading items may look something like...     IMPORTS
  • Sparkstone
  • Processed Chocolate & Coffee
  • Coal

  1. Empress - What she says is virtually what applies. Nearly no exception is made, but each heir is raised to ponder a balance of what may occur if everyone were unhappy with her at once.

  2. Constitution - There is a constitution amended and meddled with by an inner-circle. Council members raised in the palace of Tulip, and occasional meets from the elite, help sort out certain changes and laws.

  3. Regional Loyalty - Finally, there are also small regional variations and terms. Crown-bearing Houses of Rum, Salt, and Dragon may all squeeze in regional laws to serve their own needs. So variations may exist for the Reketta of Amber Isle, or the Reketta of the mid-west border towns, etc.

    Western Kayotia's Civil War
    Revolution

During some calming periods with human rivalry, the reketta of Kayotia doubled down on in-fighting once higher powers were established across several kingdoms in the west, and tribes too docile or weak to be concerned with. Traders and gulf pirates made some small use of the conflict, and history was taking shape when one queen poisoned her husband to get to power, and began to dominate...

The Full Moon War & The First Rekettan Empress
    Founding

Rekettan Queen Kesi'iloquet "The First Bloom" viciously won over western Kayotia through various tricks, allies, and tactical decisions. When all was done and appointed, she flexed her powers by sending her forces to wipe out all the human outposts, garrisons, and allied pirates, betraying many spies and mercenary fleet in a quick struggle that was known as The Full Moon War for its brutal efficiency. Thus the race humans once found merely annoying, now had sudden terror stories as one of the first imperial powers.

    Decade of Cheer
    Civil action

The first decade after the bloodshed, there was still much to repair, and despair about. Despite this, the empress tried her hardest to force a happier smile on the reptilian lips of her people. She quietly worked out a convoy that would roam from her desert palace, through most of the main roads with cheer through that summer season, and many more to come. In the process, she was quick to work and feed through networks of spies, invitations, and small council meetings, slowly building up the world in her head, and through whispers at round tables.   Civil disobedience was observed in a few spots, and the poor were considered "Rags" of the era for their war torn poverty, and ragged of possessions.
