Ömak-Ýïr, or Umakher, was one of the 32 tribes of the Khólteð Family, and one of the 14 Arðor-Kýï. These Kýïan tribes were not defined by an overarching goal shared by all 14 tribes, but each rather followed their own independent ambitions as to how the Family should be governed or how society should function during and after the Crisis of 24982 AYM. Ömak-Ýïr, one of the proto-Second-Phase Tribes alongside Këhóš-Ýïr, was primarily a force directed towards the First-Phase Kýïan Tribes, who they saw as threatening the relative peace of the Second-Phase Tribes. However, as violence began to brew in the Second-Phase Tribes, and as the overarching conflict of the Crisis involving the Arðor-Úŋï and Arðor-Tal broke through the flimsy resistance of Ömak-Ýïr, the tribe shifted focus to become much more of a mercenary group, engaging in various battles and skirmishes to secure for themselves meager scraps of food. They were notably one of two Kýïan Tribes (alongside Irðar-Ýïr) to fight in the last major battle of the Crisis, the Battle of Köš-Ëmvrad.

Upon emigrating out of the Ïlýrhonid Tribe alongside all other tribes of the Khólteðt Family, Ömak-Ýïr would occupy a territory in the northeastern Amoŋot Desert, where they would fight a series of brutal conflicts against their neighbors Múuŋ-Ýïr and Róšaf-Ýïr as part of the Khólteðian Wars, which ultimately led to the conquest and dissolution of Ömak-Ýïr around 24980 AYM.

History

Ömak-Ýïr, as one of the 32 tribes that were part of the Khólteðt Family, was formed amidst the chaos that was the Crisis of 24982 AYM. They were one of the more ideologically simple tribes, but their rationale was intimately tied to the overarching geographical situation, which will now be briefly recounted.

Prelude: The Fýr-Hŋýtor

The central conflict of the Crisis of 24982 AYM did not involve the Kýïan Tribes, but was chiefly concerned with the Arðor-Tal and Arðor-Úŋï. The former consisted of the Fýr-Hŋýtor, a historically repressed group due to the actions of their common ancestor Öhr-Fëkahr, who starting around 25100 AYM disobeyed tribal law by committing Ýyorhïsïb with members of other families. Unable to purge them altogether, the rest of the Family relegated them to two specially-designated territories, Krëšŋ-Ðórr and Khëlër-Ðórr, that were in the extreme southwest of the Khólteðt Family's land (the Ëzó-Rhažóval, the Familial seat of power, was in the extreme northeast by comparison). Over the course of the two very turbulent periods of the Ýmor-Šapariž and Heta-Ýmor-Vëtam, the Fýr-Hŋýtor, secluded from the world, would grow in population, eventually becoming around 25% of the entire Familial population by 24982 AYM. Angered by their treatment, they took advantage of the widespread mourning following the death of Rithas, the Hyvamto-Žö-Ýšïb, to kidnap his successor Šïk-hórom and start the Crisis of 24982 AYM. Following this, particular members of the family who wanted Šïk-hórom back on the throne would form the Arðor-Úŋï in response, and both sides rapidly mobilized.

Prelude: The First Phase of the Crisis of 24982 AYM

Unlike the overall conflict's being revolved around the Talians and Úŋïans, the 'Phases' of the Crisis revolve around the third group, the Arðor-Kýï, who fought amongst themselves in the parallel conflict of the Kýïan Wars. The First Phase began when Šïk-hórom was kidnapped and brought to Krëšŋ-Ðórr. The border between the Krëšŋ-Ðórr and the rest of the familial lands thus was host to a series of struggles between the two sides that were finally bested by the repeated assaults of Rëžýnð and Lŋórak, the latter of whom executed a grand assault that conquered large swaths of the Krëšŋ-Ðórr and broke the remaining segments (in the north and south) of that territory in two. The Talians conducted a series of hasty evacuations of the northernmost segments into the Khëlër-Ðórr, but throughout their conquered territory, the Úŋïans conducted a large-scale purging of the local citizens there before doing the same to the isolated southern portion. This was the Massacre of the Krëšŋ-Ðórr, the event the shed real doubt and fear in the Úŋïan cause, and thus sparked the first few tribes of the Kýïans. These are known as the First-Phase Kýïan Tribes, and consisted of Ðïš-Ýïr, Irðar-Ýïr, Vmóð-Ýïr, and Úrfëš-Ýïr. All these groups consisted of those that were closest to the Krëšŋ-Ðórr and bore witness to the horrors of the Massacre. They were also amongst the most ostracized groups of the Family, being displaced and relegated to just outside the Krëšŋ-Ðórr in the same fashion that the Fýr-Hŋýtor were. Their situation thus bore for them a nascent assurance that something regarding the Family's governance was deeply wrong, and each held their own solution to solving this that differed from others. This became the First Phase of the Kýïan Wars, where these 4 tribes fought amongst themselves, each simultaneously attempting to sabotage their fellow tribes and advance northeast to the Palace, the Ëzó-Rhažóval, where they could claim absolute power over the Family.

Occurring at the same time was the 15 Ulta-Eimarae Battle of Arhžvóo, which saw the Talians preventing further damage being done to the Khëlër-Ðórr by baiting them to the territory of the Úŋïans themselves. Faced with the overwhelming forces of Lŋórak, the Talians were forced to conduct successive retreats to the northeast in order to survive. As such, the end of the First Phase saw two simultaneous movements by the Kýïan Tribes and the Talians/Úŋïans northeastward, to the parts of the family that were not already embroiled in sheer violence.

Formation

As one of the Proto-Second-Phase Tribes, Ömak-Ýïr formed right around the Battle of Arhžvóo, and saw the two movements northeastward as potentialy bringing widespread havoc to all aspects of the Family. Attempting to prevent this, they formed an army in the hopes that the northeastern parts of the Family could remain peaceful. In this respect, they did do exactly that, repulsing numerous attempts by the first-phase tribes to break through. They also met a valuable ally in the only other Proto-Second-Phase Tribe of Këhóš-Ýïr, with whom they created an alliance to mutually defend the northeastern reaches of the tribe. Together, they successfully held back any and all First-Phase Tribes for several days.

Defeat and Decimation

Following the Battle of Arhžvóo, both the Talians and Úŋïans advanced northeastward, where they would eventually clash at the Battle at the Palace in 22 Ulta-Eimarae. However, around halfway to the Palace, the Ömakkians saw them approaching, and confusing them for another Kýïan Tribe, they formed a defensive line to stop them. This became the Battle of Ömak-Ýïr of 17 Ulta-Eimarae, which saw the Talians, in their haste, smash through their lines and continue their advance. The chasing Úŋïans also arrived in the day following, and the battered Ömak-Ýïr, aiming to get a partal victory from these events, formed yet another line. Perceiving this as the Talians, Lŋórak ordered a massive charge that decimated the population. Upon finding that they were not the Talians, Lŋórak then advanced northeastward in search of them. What remained from the ordeal was a shell of Ömak-Ýïr, with typical estimates claiming that anywhere between 40 and 70% of their members were wiped out in these successive blasts. The rest reformed and attempted to continue their mission of defending against the First-Phase Tribes, but their numbers were far too low. In late-Ulta-Eimarae, as the fury of the Crisis caused the Palace to give way and crumble, the first steps of the First-Phase Tribes past the Ömak-Ýïr occurred.

Joining with Këhóš-Ýïr and Fallout

Following the defeat of the Ömak-Ýïr, the deaths of so many of their brethren, and the failure of their formative mission, the surviving members opted to come back to their old ally the Këhóš-Ýïr, who took them in as part of their group. Together, they stayed with them all the way until just after the dissolution of the Ceasefire of Zïlëŋý in early Suta-Eimarae, where differences between the two tribes' styles of governance caused a fallout between them. Këhóš-Ýïr was ruled by Ðrhuvëškal, who ruled over all aspects of the tribe as an authoritarian civil and military leader. Ömak-Ýïr, on the other hand, was chiefly a communal tribe, who had little to no overarching figure. Around 5-6 Suta-Eimarae, the members of the Ömak-Ýïr as well as several other disgruntled Këhóšians left the tribe, and subsequently turned into a mercenary organization.

Establishment of Territory and the Battle of Köš-Ëmvrad

From then until late-Suta-Eimarae, they wandered the streets, foraging for food and fighting with anyone for them. After half a month, they established their territory at a vacant building, where they had discovered a particularly vast trove of food. From there, they would spread, invading other buildings and expanding their influence. At their peak, the Ömak-Ýïr territory encompassed around 10 acres, which, in the time of the Crisis, was a monumental achievement.

The Battle of Köš-Ëmvrad in 13-16 Geta-Eimarae was the last major engagement of the Ömakkians. This was itself one of the largest battles of the Crisis and the last major battle before the 24982 AYM Ultimatum. In it, Ömak-Ýír and Irðar-Ýïr, one of the first-phase tribes they had once beaten back, found themselves in extended conflict with select groups of the Talians and Úŋïans. Overwhelmed by their strength, the two Kýïan tribes retreated back, with the Ömakkians eventually holing up in the building with the trove of food. As defeat looked inevitable, the Ultimatum of 24982 AYM was issued, which saw the military enforcement of the entire Khólteðtian Family's eviction and the forced end to all conflicts. As with the rest of the tribes, Ömak-Ýïr boarded a boat in early Heta-Eimarae, eventually landing at the Amoŋot Desert where they were given a parcel of land in the northeast Desert.
