Úrfëš-Ýïr

Úrfëš-Ýïr, or Irvesper, was one of the 14 Arðor-Kýï, and one of the four First-Phase Kýïan Tribes. It comprised opportunist scavengers and other layfolk who foresaw the coming violence of the Crisis of 24982 AYM and sought to take advantage of the chaos for the simple goal of expanding their territories and taking in more resources for their own use. Of the Kýïan Tribes, the Úrfëšians were one of the most ill-defined in terms of their overarching philosophy and motives. For this reason, and for the wanton behavior exhibited during the Crisis, they were given the smallest parcel of territory in the Tayzem Desert, ultimately leading to their swift conquest by Róšaf-Ýïr as one of the first tribes conquered in the Khólteðian Wars.

History

The individuals that would make up Úrfëš-Ýïr lived in the southwestern territories of the Khólteð Family, just northeast of the Krëšŋ-Ðórr and Khëlër-Ðórr that were inhabited by the Fýr-Hŋýtor. These southwestern territories were by far the poorest, due in part to the association with the Fýr-Hŋýtor and being the primary destination for banished and shamed individuals within the Family (in fact, all four of the First-Phase Kýïan Tribes would be constituted of different ideological factions of these such banished individuals).

The Úrfëš-Ýïr were made of marauders and other people who lived under harsh conditions and had grown desperate. Upon the outset of the Crisis, they correctly predicted that this would lead to a prolonged period of conflict across the entire family. Owing to the breakdown of civil life, this conflict would allow them anarchical levels of freedom with which they could plunder and collect. In this sense, they started off as disorganized, separate groups as early as the start of the Crisis in Anta-Eimarae, but only fully coalesced into a large, coordinated effort around 2 Ulta-Eimarae.
