Vmóð-Ýïr

Vmóð-Ýïr, or Woitmor, was one of the first of the 14 warring groups that made up the disparate Arðor-Kýï. Being part of the 4 tribes known as the First-Phase Kýïan Tribes, it was formed right after the Massacre of the Krëšŋ-Ðórr in 27 Anta-Eimarae, 24982 AYM, and represented a major figure in the Kýïan Wars, Crisis of 24982 AYM, and later on the Kaultedtian Wars. Curiously, although categorized as part of the Arðor-Kýï, the Vmóðians were primarily Talians, and their general sentiments were similar to those of the Arðor-Tal. However, they have been categorized as part of the Kýïans anyways, as their goals and purposes were distinct from those of the Talians.

History

Prelude

The series of events that eventually led to the creation of Vmóð-Ýïr began more than 100 years earlier. This concerns the emergence of the Talians, a subsection within the Khólteð Family that was created when an Khólteðian known as Öhr-Fëkahr engaged in Ýyorhïsïb with members of other families around 25100 AYM. This was a grave trespass of tribal law, and as a result, any and all descendants from Öhr-Fëkahr were labeled the Fýr-Hŋýtor, subsequently ostracized, and relegated to two specially-designated areas in the extreme southwest of the tribe called the Krëšŋ-Ðórr and Khëlër-Ðórr. As time passed, they would rename themselves the Arðor-Tal and grow in population, eventually becoming 25% of the entire family by 24982 AYM.

Formation

Being one of the closest tribes to the Fýr-Hŋýtor territories of Krëšŋ-Ðórr and Khëlër-Ðórr, Vmóð-Ýïr was formed in the days following the Massacre of Krëšŋ-Ðórr, one of the first major events in the Crisis of 24982 AYM. Occurring in 25-26 Anta-Eimarae, this saw the mass murder of nearly 3000 Talians within the Krëšŋ-Ðórr at the hands of the Arðor-Úŋï led by Lŋórak. Refugees within that territory and the nearby Khëler-Ðórr would flee northeastwards into what was considered 'proper' Familial territory (that is, the land not considered part of the Krëšŋ-Ðórr or the Khëlër-Ðórr). Vmóð-Ýïr, initially a small cluster of settlements around that general area, would consolidate in the days following the Massacre, eventually comprising a sizable population (around 4,000 by mid Ulta-Eimarae) that incorporated both Talians and non-Talians. In this stance, Vmóð-Ýïr would naturally adopt a position that incorporated opinions on both sides, eventually taking shape as a mission to instate a familial government that was comprised of members of these sides. As they saw it, the state of the family as it was, especially the long-standing divide between the Talians and Úŋïans, represented a larger issue beyond the Crisis that had a chance of being resolved in the chaos that the Crisis brought forth.

These contentious opinions stirred a variety of responses from others. Although its preposition of rebuild and rebirth was almost certainly one of the many factors that attracted those around them and allowed for a substantial non-Talian population within it, it was also one that individuals of other tribes often found hard to digest. Vmóð-Ýïr thus found itself facing a myriad of other forces in the various skirmishes that defined the First Kýïan War.
