Ðrhuvëškal

Ðrhuvëškal was the founder and leader of the tribe of Këhóš-Ýïr during the Crisis of 24982 AYM, up until his death just before the Battle of Köš-Ëmvrad and the 24982 AYM Ultimatum. Much of the details regarding his life are from sources written after his death, which almost always portray him as a predecessor to the much greater line of rulers, the Khlúkúrmïr, which led the Këhóšians throughout the Khólteðian Wars.

Biography and Scholarly Analysis

Among the diverse pantheon of figures emergent from the Crisis, Ðrhuvëškal is unique in that his name does not show up in the Žötó-Ïdhatón (genealogical records) of the Khólteð Family. Historians have pored over this dilemma for numerous years, but the general concensus for now is that Ðhruvëškal or some of his relatives may have been associated with the Fýr-Hŋýtor, who the Family shunned, thus causing him to have been neglected during the census.

Due to this lack of records, Ðhruvëškal's exact birth date is unknown, and the main sources behind his life are from tales that have been written and passed down by members of the tribe of Këhóš-Ýïr, the tribe he founded. The verity of these tales are disputed, and scholars consider most of it to be highly distorted if not entirely made-up or misattributed.

What is known is that the tribe of Këhóš-Ýïr, one of the 14 Arðor-Kýï, was founded in early Ulta-Eimarae (near the end of the first phase of the Kýïan Wars) by Ðhruvëškal himself. All stories attest that he did so after witnessing battles like Battle of Arhžvóo and the skirmishes of the Kýïan Wars, and that this founding took place within his own dwelling near the middle of the Family territory. However, these sources differ wildly on what the general mission of the tribe was, but given their frequent skirmishes with the Kýïan tribes, it is inferred that Ðrhuvëškal, and by extension the Këhóšians in general, were neither Arðor-Tal or Arðor-Úŋï in terms of ideology. Most historians even go so far as to equate the goals of the Këhóšians with those of most other Kýïan Tribes (that being a takeover of the Family government during the Power Vacuum), but this is not at all known for certain.

Throughout the second phase of the Kýïan Wars, the Këhóšians would fight bitterly with their First-Phase neighbors to the southwest. Depending on the story, Ðrhuvëškal's role as the leader of the tribe shifts wildly from strategist to diplomat to on-site general, reflecting either grave inconsistencies between these stories or the ill-defined limits and powers of his role. Given their similarities with those of the Khlúkúrmïr, most scholars err towards the latter theory, although some conjecture that the diversity of powers attributed to Ðrhuvëškal were created and used by the Khlúkúrmïr as justification for their own similarly wide array of powers.
