Hydra Head River
The Hydra Head River is named for the five tributaries which flow from small mountain lakes in the Greatrock Range down to the ocean on the eastern coast of Southern Midasfjall. The main body of the Hydra Head River is very wide but shallow and flows over land with a slighter incline than that of its 'heads', as such the river currents are weak enough that people are able to utilise river barges to travel up and down the river, up to the location where all of the tributaries meet, using long poles as a means of propulsion. Each of the river's tributaries are referred to as the first, second, third, fourth and fifth heads from north to south. The fifth head tributary is also available to travel down using river barges and residents from Kaldoran make use of this to trade with the genasi city Myraan.
