Emberwind Forest
Both the eastern and western Emberwind Forest are located on Flamvelle Isle - the native home of the Fire Genasi. The forests are home to mainly pine, juniper and olive trees which are adapted to grow in the dry environment on the isle. Due to its isolation from the mainland, there are few large creatures that live within the forests. Instead they are mostly inhabited by migratory sea birds and flying dinosaur which eat fish.
Geography
The geography of Flamvelle isle is such that the western region around Agorimegali - the volcano, is higher above sea level than the eastern region. As a result of this, the western forest lies on a slope that descends to the east while the eastern forest is mostly flat. Neither of the Emberwind Forest's borders reach the sea, the borders of the forests instead give way to sheer cliffs below which are rocky beaches.
