Half-Breeds
The many different races of Gaia are intensely biologically different. From the stone bones of Cave Dwed, to the cold resistance of Giantblooded and Ie Il’ha, they have a wide variety of differing traits and passives which are passed down along the kin throughout degenerative means. However, the life of Halfbreeds is hard and filled with racist tendencies. From the minute they are born, it is a challenge. It is a rare surprise in which a mother will be able to give birth to that of a Halfbreed, however when it happens they are met with nothing but a long road ahead of them.
The List
Among the list, going through the category is the long explanation as to what races and subraces can cointermingle with one another. Alongside each note will be a percentage. This is the percentage that a child could feasibly be born between two of the differing sides, assuming that such is even possible. Certain mixtures between races are named and expanded upon, others aren't. This is often due to the probability of a race being able to have such a mixture. As a result, low probability Half-breeds are much less culturally significant in the world of Gaia. If a combination is not listed, then it cannot be made. Rolls for pregnancy are done on a 1d100. For example, if a pairing has a chance of 20% a 1d100 roll requires an 80+ for pregnancy.Humans
Humans subrace may interbreed amongst themselves freely. There are many multiple different cultures which follow mixtures between Armusians and Gravican bloodlines, as well as plenty intermingling cross-Dahu and Gildaran humans in the world. 100% Alzviltera Akagijin x (Summer Elves or Spring Elves) 50% Dökkálfar Giantblooded x (Winter Elves or Autumn Elves) 20% OtherElves

Rehks, due to their biology, are unable to breed amongst other races, or even their differing subraces, with certain subraces being completely unable to produce normally alike other races. Tales of the Rehk-Ogri mutation being present in Rehk-Ugs do exist, but these horrible abominations do not live past adolescenceBeastfolk
Beastfolk, due to their biology are ENTIRELY incapable of interbreeding with anything which isn't part of their own species/race. As such, Javali x Vervivan are not possible or anything even vaguely similar.Empyreans
Empyreans typically do not breed with any Gaians unless they ascertain the approval from The Celestial Conclave, for to do so without their express approval will result in grave consequences. Union between Gaians and Demi-Celestials is considered taboo, and not to be treaded upon lightly. Should this permission be granted by that of the courts, or should an Empyrean wish to defy them, no matter what the race of the Mother may be, the child will be born as a pure-blooded Empyrean, with all the regular Empyric traits and mechanics.Blooded
Blooded, being moreso a template than a main race, conform by that of their regular main race counterparts. However, demonic corruption of a Blooded will spread to their next of kin. Halfbloods, Deceived, and Withered will all have children which would be Halfbloods, Deceived, and Withered respectively. Demonkin meanwhile when having children, with a nonblooded, would birth a child as a normal halfblood. Unless, of course, both parents were Demonkin.Special Creatures/CAs
-Golems, Undead, and any type of non-biological creations cannot have offspring of any kind. -Unique CAs (this includes Unique Beastfolk CAs) cannot breed or have children unless Senior LT specifies otherwise. -Brightscales are unable to breed, they are infertile. -Nachzehrer are unable to breed with anything which is not a fellow Nachzehrer. -Near-Fey are unable to breed with anything which is not a fellow Near-Fey of the same Court.Redlines
-Halfbreeds will ONLY get ONE set of racial abilities from the mixture of race they are. This is decided by the mother of the character. For example: If a Gravican Father and Spring Elf mother have a child, the child will have the Spring Elven racial abilities, not the Gravican abilities. -Halfbreeds will always look more alike that of their mother than their father. -If a race and another race are not listed as being compatible, then they are unable to make any type of offspring with anything which isnt themself. -Golems, Undead, and any type of non-biological creations cannot have offspring of any kind. -If someone were playing a Halfbreed, they would affix their persona’s race to be WHICHEVER RACIAL ABILITY they are taking.Remove these ads.
