The earliest record of Du'merh mark its founding as slightly before the creation of the Savage Isles in the year 1700. They note that these dwarves were especially hardy and hard working and that many of their clansmen regularly died from the cold and wind in the northern mountains.

For the dwarves of Du'merh that question was mainly "how can we profit from this" and soon after they profited massively as trade increased to these strange new lands where metals were needed for weapons of war.

Political eventThe creation of the savage isles spurred the creation of a organization that would stop the gods the gods should they ever try so again. This did not sit well with the dwarves of Du'merh however as they had profited greatly from the creation of the Savage Isles.

Excavation of the Mountains Core
Construction beginning/endIn the early months of the year 1789 the dwarves of Du'merh found a giant flat surface of mithril. It was decided by the dwarves that discovered it that mining it piece by peiece would be a waste possibly be an affront to whatever deity had provided so much metal to them. In the end the mithril vein proved too big to find fully mine out and instead a throne was erected inside the ore.

Discovery, ExplorationAlthough not as large as the mountains core, when this jewel was found it was evaluated to be just as valuable. It was greatly appreciated for its ability to gather and strengthen whatever magic was put through it.

Military: WarDue to the remoteness of Du'merh the great war took more than 70 years to finally reach this kingdom. Up until this point they had mainly turned away refugees at their gates and stored up supplies for if the war should ever come to them. As the great evil approached and forced them out of their mines all this preparation where quickly proven for naught.

Protests of the Returning Dwarves
Political eventAfter the great evil had been slain and sealed many races returned home. Especially the longer-lived races that could still remember their home before they had been displaced or drafted into the war returned in great numbers. While this was initially welcomed by King Strovil Mithrilbrand IV of Du'merh as the kingdom had been lacking in good workings during the war it quickly turned differently when the workers wanted to mine the tunnels their family had mined before them.

First Battle of The Revolt of Du'merh
RevolutionAs tensions rose and the Strovil Mithrilbrand IV of Du'merh used increasingly harsh methods to coerce the returned dwarves into once again working in the kingdom it finally came to a battle as he announced the execution of one of the most accomplished of the veterans.

Military: BattleAlthough the rebels had lost their most likely leader in the execution only 2 years prior, they were quick to reorganize themselves and set off to Du'mra.

Creation of the Free Holdings of the North
Diplomatic actionAfter the war between rebels had raged for more than 300 years and the crowning of a new king, king Harnug Mithrilbrand V, the war finally ended with a diplomatic agreement to have Du'merh split into two countries. The northern kingdom would pay reparations and trade tolls whenever they traded by routes that went through the Free Holdings south of them.

Assassination of the King of Du'merh
Life, DeathAfter a relatively short rule, Harnug Mithrilbrand V of Du'merh was assassinated. His policy of giving the rebels land from which they could take extra tolls on his merchants had become too much for many in the kingdom. This had pushed him against the corner and made him an enemy of most of the powerful individuals left.

Collapse of the Merchant Republic of Du'merh
Political eventThe Merchant Republic of Du'merh lasted for about 5 generations before it finally collapsed. The Free Holdings had seen no reason to help them out of their rot, and the Savage Isles had for all the time been continuously embroiled in war. In the end, it had simply become too much for the merchant families to make everything work and as they increasingly kept scaling back things, they ended up completely disbanding the whole government.

Political eventAlthough the Free Holdings were slow to do so, they eventually sent a peacekeeping force to check on Du'merh. In just under 50 years after the government had disbanded itself, its people had lost most sense of their nation and welcomed the envoy who had brought food and clothing. This eventually led to the reunification of the country which would once again be ruled by a king.

Coronation of King Irohda Ironheart III
Political eventAfter the death of Zemos and E'ath entering a new age, it was decided that Du'merh could not stand without a ruler any longer. To fulfil this purpose Irohda Ironheart stepped up and took the throne. The coronation had already been planned for years in advance but his supporters took this opportunity to do it sooner than they had planned.
