Diplomatic action

After the war between rebels had raged for more than 300 years and the crowning of a new king, king Harnug Mithrilbrand V, the war finally ended with a diplomatic agreement to have Du'merh split into two countries. The northern kingdom would pay reparations and trade tolls whenever they traded by routes that went through the Free Holdings south of them.

After the war had raged for more than 300 years Strovil Mithrilbrand IV was growing old. He had inherited the throne as a young dwarf, just before the end of the first age and now he had lived an unusually long life, even for a dwarf. So as he got older and more senile, his son increasingly took over for him. The transfer of power was not without difficulties and fighting a political war and an actual war was too much, so the new ruler quickly made peace with the rebels to the south. Due to the pressure had to take an unfavourable deal and as a result become even more unpopular at home, but he had managed to secure one front.
