First Battle of The Revolt of Du'merh

As tensions rose and the Strovil Mithrilbrand IV of Du'merh used increasingly harsh methods to coerce the returned dwarves into once again working in the kingdom it finally came to a battle as he announced the execution of one of the most accomplished of the veterans.

Although many thought Strovil Mithrilbrand IV would back down based on the massive protests until the execution, it was not called off. So when several thousand dwarves turned up in full armour and armed to the teeth, the scene was set.   Although the king's guard had the advantage of readying the battlefield and being on the defence they stood little chance. Their opponents had thought far harsher battles than this and the guards were quickly routed. In the panic, however, the executioner had taken the opportunity to finish the execution himself. Although the guards had lost the battle, there were far more of them in total, so the rebels had to flee.
