House Tragar
House Tragar has earned a reputation amongst the other Noble Houses as coniving, untrustworthy, and suspicious. Despite this, cases in the high court are regularily dismissed by Zeredechiah IV himself. The population of House tragar traditionally has been primarily of several large families of tieflings, but over time many of minor races like kenku, lizardfolk, hobgoblins, and kobolds who faced prejudice have found refuge in this somewhat lawless and confusing kingdom. It is rumored that Faouzia Tragar, the Matriarch of the ruling Tragar family, runs a large criminal syndicate, or that she is High Durhums personal spy master. Few think they know the answer, and even fewer actually do.
Describe Nobility:
Seneschal:
Faouzia Tragar , the current matriarch of house Tragar, strikes great fear into the hearts of those who deserve it. She is a ruthless politician who has "negotiated" several unbelievable deals with temperamental noble families who still won't speak on the subject. It is suspected that a web of espionage so deep and ancient lies underneath High Durhum placed by House Tragar, that those who feed information to the web don't even know who it is going to. For centuries now, House Tragar has made it their mission to use their "Influence" both above and below board to protect refugees, immigrants, and those fleeing inter-house conflict throughout High Durhum.
Grand Castellan: Grand Castellan Sylvia of Horfshire is both Faouzia's daughter, Heir, and second in command. She oversees much of the practical work of running the kingdom, and once in a great while replace her mother at the high court when Faouzia is otherwise indisposed. Sylvia is quieter than her mother, and is often seen observing prodceedings from the background.
Lower Courts:
The lower courts are mostly made of the prominent descendants of a variety of Tiefling families. Most try to do good for their subjects by somewhat unethical means. Of course there are a number of familial squabbles and rivalries, but what lower court is without these?
