House Galizárd (Ga-li-sard)
House Galizard is a rocky, heavily forested land filled with ancient castles and lots of history. Historically they have been masters of fortification and defense, and their politics mirror this specialty. There is a heavy focus on mining, forestry and lumber collection, and the training of warbirds in this kingdom. A large lake in the southern portion of the kingdom helps to feed one of the largest rivers in the land that feeds High Durhum itself.
Seneschal: Anrique Galizárd is the last of the line of Galizárd. His goal in the last 4 decades has been to bring his once archaic lands into bristling modernity, and they have vastly increased their output of all kinds of industry and resource collection. They have also increased the size of their standing army by fourfold, equipped with new and terrifying methods of seigecraft. As a ruler Anrique cares only for numbers and reports. He rarely holds audience with his subjects and spends much of his time locked away in the grand keep or in Durhumstrad, the capitol of High Durhum. Grand Castellan: KeepMaster Alfraid Enzan acts as the Grand Castellan and performs some of the duties others might expect of a Seneschal when Anrique is busy elswhere. He is also the Noble Falconeer and trains the hundreds of warbrids the Seneshal employs in battle.
Lower Courts: The Nobility in House Galizárd are the heads of the guilds who control the various industries that fuel the kingdom. Being elected positions they change somewhat frequently and have a lot of partisan infighting. This method of election is seen as strange and somewhat inneffective by many of the other houses noble, however their results have been more effective than expected.
