House Martíz (Martees)

House Martíz is a large kingdom, with the second largest population in High Durhum. Despite this, the noble family struggled to make the empire economically valuable, until large veins of rare metals and magically active gems were found in mines. Since then they have skillfully created a high demand and only allowed a small outflow of their resources, spiking the economy. For the average citizen, they have reached a golden age, but the noble family knows it will only last so long. Bahamut, The Platinum Dragon  is the central diety of House Martiz, and they have prosteltized to most of the other kingdoms. Many temples to the platinum Dragon have popped up around the 13 kingdoms, but the largest and grandest are in House Martiz and House Zel-Hiddeffi (as of recently)   In addition to this new wealth, their military strength has recently become rival to House Tarrasque, much to the concern of the Noble Family. Luckily geographical isolation from the other military superpower has kept relations calm, for now.   Seneschal:Jacob Martiz, the son of the late Seneschal Isaac Martiz, is responsible for the recent surge in wealth and power to the kingdom. He holds his ground even against the might of house tarrasque, and is frank with his interaction with King Zeredechia. Grand Castellan:Sophia Martiz, the cousin of Jacob serves as his advisor and second. She is the head of the noble family that runs the newley formed mining operations and has helped the country gain and distribute the massive wealth they have recently gained.   Lower Courts:The industrious families of House Martiz run like a business. A family business. With squabbles, infighting, and potlucks. It works pretty well, though, elders are reveered and there isn't a lot of mobility for the younger generations.   Allies: House Tragar House Mortaelis House Praxis House Narsco Rivals: House Rahkida House Alseera House Tarrasque House Modūm Neutral: House Padaam House Galizárd House D'Reno
