House D'Reno (D-renno)

House D'Reno is often mocked for being haughty, but only because they have every right to be. The D'Reno Acadamy of the Arcane rivals even the Ardenian Royal Arcane Institute. Wizards from around the world come here to be taught and increase their skill and arcane prowess. Because of this the chief mages and wizards of High Durhum itself were all trained in House D'Reno's kingdom, and as a mark of pride, Durhums wizards must only come from there. As one might expect, a prerequisite to serving in government is being an alumni from their academy, with honors, of course.

Seneschal: Agatha D'Reno is the current Seneschal of House D'reno, and she commands respect wherever she goes. An undisputed powerhouse of a wizard she exudes arcane power. Besides this she is a cunning politician and has a very specific focus on maintaining the unity between the Noble Houses. Most often she is seen settling the disputes of other houses, and never hesitates to place herself in the line of fire in literal confilcts as well. The lower courts of House Tarrasque call her the "peacemonger". She also has the good favor of King Zeredechiah, and is one of his most consulted allies.

Grand Castellan: Japheth Enderborne is a Drow from abyssal citadel who long ago left his homeland in search of a new way of living and learning. Over the course of his many centuries he became the Grandmaster of the Academy of the Arcane, a position which always does the double duty of Grand Castellan in House D'reno. He has served longer than his Seneschal, and is both feared and respected by the other noble houses.

Lower Courts:

Academic, prestigious, elaborate, with an extra serving of haughtyness would all be apt descriptions of the nobles of House D'reno. A constantly shifting web of power underlies the somewhat steady leadership of the house, which unfortunately create's the house greates weakness. Political ambition has been the corrupting flaw of many nobles from this house, and some secretly work for other houses for the right price.
