House Narsco (NAR-so)

Long ago an ancient High Durhum King had a son and daughter he loved equally. When he died he gave his son, Zeredechia, the north, and his daughter, Zarusha the south of high durhum. A falling out between the siblings split the kingdoms, and in an efficient power grab, Zeredechia became the recognized High Durhum, despite his older sister deserving the throne. Since then, a silent feud has raged between the two families for four generations. High tensions have led to much political positioning, underhanded tactics, and no small amount of sabotage. House Narsco excels in the production of textiles, scrying magic, and saboteurs.

Describe Nobility:

Seneschal: Elias Narsco: a haughty, yet ambitious lord who has been recently made Seneschal by his Mother, who is now the Grand Castellan. Elias has studied for most of his life at the lordly college in Durhumstrand , and is in pursuit of several suitors to legitimize his title and make firm his claim to the lands of his forebearers .

Grand Castellan: Abitha Narsco, Elias's mother serves as the Grand Castellan of House Narsco. Many say she is still the real power behind the Seneschal, as she has a clear level of control over her family, especially her oldest son. She often leaves the management of the kingdom to the lower courts, and accompanies her son and Seneschal to almost every meeting of the upper court.

The lower Courts:

More than most other houses, the lower courts of House Narsco mirror the upper court itself. They are a highly divided group, each seeking power with the hopes of supplanting the current Narsco family for control over the kingdom. Despite this clamor for rising power and position, no one has yet succeeded in subduing the second line of the first Durhum.
