Dead Wastes of Gilbraea. After petitioning King Zerechadia Durhum II for their Noble House-ship, the Padaam Family took leadership of the newly liberated kingdom and separated from House Modūm much to their dismay. To this day they are instrumental in holding back the tide of Demonic blight that has brought ruin to the neighboring kingdoms of Gilbraea.Another major feature of the Kalashtar people are the ancestral spirits (Celestials) that protect the different family lines of the people there. Each one manifests differently, and there are more than can be counted. The major celestial spirit of House Padaam Manifests in times of danger directly behind the Padaam family member and will protect them like nothing else. For other houses they might have invisible tattoos that suddenly light up when their spirit activates, granting them incredible magic power.Kalashtar are also plagued by dark spirits, as such the people in House Padaam's kingdom forgo the use of town guards and use their monasteries in each town to protect them instead.
They are seen as upstart royalty who have little politcal sway yet, but those who attended their summits upon the slopes of the dividing mountain range soon realize how crucial they are when they see the demon hordes their undead monks of Bahsh-Tii hold back without military aide. Despite a lack of respect from some, they have made swift allies with several of the other houses who helped them petition for independence.

Lower Courts: Unlike many of the lower courts, the present lower court is new enough there are still a few members who were there when it was founded. Instead of long chains of nobility dating back to time unknown, it has been about 65 years. This being so most of the "Nobility" were either respected community leaders, or wealthy business owners who provided goods or services that were crucial to the newly developing kingdom. Some have used this for personal gain, but many have tried to start a good legacy for their children to follow. Some of the Nobility have opted to choose or elect a successor from within their families or corporations, with partial success. One seat always belongs to the chief of the monastary police who guard the lower plains of House Padaam from internal issues, like thievery.
