Government

Turyev is governed directly by the Shogunate, whose palace lies in the Crest. Law enforcement is maintained by a disciplined city guard headquartered in Westgate, while elite honor guards protect the Shagunate and opera from North Ward.

Industry & Trade

Turyev's primary exports are high-grade timber, crafted woodworks, windsteel (a light alloy processed in Storm Alley), and paper scrolls. Imports include spices, raw iron, and magickal herbs. Its trade relationships extend across North Chrysalis and even overseas, making Westgate and Eastgate vital arteries for commerce.

The city is lit at night by rune-pwoered lamps, a legacy of old Cherian ingenuity. It survived the Stormed Siege of 142 AE, thanks to its natural barriers and the valor of soldiers from Six Cliffs.

I'd love to see their festivals. See what's different and what's the same as our festivals. And this is where I seriously rail against having the borders closed. How can I effectively do my job as a historian? I can't walk away from my calling... I have to keep searching, to keep learning.
