Tarakona

Defeating the tarakona is hard, but you have to try.
— Nowe Ateny

Despite the quote, dragons seems to be extinct, at least in Whenua. It has been many centuries since the last sighting and nobody knows what exactly happened to them.

  There were three main species of Tarakonas:
  • Taw Tarakonas: made of skin and scales, with vibrant colors and a mean nature;
  • Mētar Tarakonas: made of different alloys, with a more calm and peaceful nature;
  • Fae Tarakonas: made of wood, leaves and flowers, with a cheerful and deceptive nature.

Tarakonas existed for sure, I myself held, visiting Kerei' palace, a rib of a Taw bigger than a regular sabre.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Tarakonas were typically large, scaled creatures with a powerful build. They often had a muscular frame, long necks, and tails, and may had a distinctive crest or mane.

They were frequently depicted with leathery bat-like wings, allowing them to soar through the air. Some depictions may show them with feathered wings or other variations.

Tarakonas possessed sharp claws and teeth, making them formidable predators and warriors. Horns were another common feature, adding to the Tarakonass regal or menacing appearance.

Behaviour

Hoarding is one of the most common traits in dragons. The most common is treasure hoarding, their greedy nature make them attracted to gold, precious stones and other siny items. But some dragons prefer to collect other things, like magical artifacts, flowers and plants or even books.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The elemental breathe was a common characteristic of tarakonas, adding to their terrifying nature. Some specimens were even able to cast spells, like the Fae ones, and the most powerful ones were able to shapeshift into humans or other spieces and to tame their elements at their will.
