Arhōi

Majestic and mysterious creature, the Arhōi it's a horse (Hōi) infused by magic. How this infusion happend is not clear, some think that was a gift from Ahoeitu, others that it was Kara who kissed her loved steed, imbuing it with some of her power, there are even stories about horses eating a piece of the crystal and developing magic. But among all these mysteries, one thing is certain, magicians and scholars believe that there is a connection between the crystal of Kara and the Arhōis since the composition of the horn is very similar to what was observed inside the fragments of the stone.

This celestial beast protects sacred groves and is a symbol of purity and grace. Their appearance often mislead people to think their harmless and peaceful creatures, but, if they feel threatened, if you trespass their territory or if they sense dark thoughts, they become aggressive and will attack on sight.

They are extremely rare and often act as protectors of the forest.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Horses of various sizes with a characteristic Horn on the head. The horn is smooth and perfectly formed, with a surface which color is hard to tell since it changes based on the light refraction.

While most of the specimens are white, some developed stains or streaks of different colors on the body, like light blue, pink and sometime golden or silver. While not magic, these painted parts react to the magic of the Arhōi since they shine like the horn and the hoofs when the creature uses its powers.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Having all the typical traits of a horse, Arhōi are strong and powerful creatures which can do everything a normal Hōi can do. But their true strength is magic. Their magical nature not only grant them a resistance from magical forces but also allowed them to use spells and other powers to hide, heal, protect, manipulate emotions and do many other small tricks.
