Jovarai

Overview

  Jovarai is a small village on the Didžiausias River. The village has a small population of only a few hundred people of mostly Miskunasian humans. The village’s economy is mostly based on farming and fishing and its location as a stop on the trading route between Karnius and the dwarven kingdom Kuzad-Nikar. The chief of the area is of the Pavasaris family.

Carp and Pike Inn

This is a moderately large inn with 12 rooms for rent with a medium sized tavern area that serves both food and drink. This is the only inn in town and thus this is where most travelers tend to stay when they are passing through Jovarai. The tavern section of this establishment serves normal priced drinks but has some more expensive stock for more wealthy travelers and serves several food dishes, their specialties being grilled carp and pike and spiced fish stew.  

Jovarai Stables

The stables in Jovarai are pretty normal. They have room for several horses as well as room for a few carts and carriages. The cost to stable a horse is 5 sp.  

Dorulik’s Smithy

This is a medium-sized smithy that sells simple weapons, metal armor worth less than 200 gp, and any other general metal items.  

Žaneta’s Hut

This is a small dwelling of Jovarai’s wise woman Žaneta. She is an older woman in her fifties who has blond hair that is graying. She looks like she may have been quite attractive in her youth. She is very knowledgeable about herbs and alchemy. She has 3 potions of healing for sale for the normal 50 gp.  

Kunstas’ Provisions

This is a small general store that sells various general supplies and a lot of fishing supplies. The store keeps the fishermen of Jovarai stocked with the supplies they need to ply their trade and also supplies traders who pass through the village with their supplies.  

Liucina’s Clothing and Cloaks

This is a clothing store that sells all kinds of clothing, but much of it is heavy and warm given the climate of the area. They do sell some lighter clothing for the warmer summer months.   The owner of this store is a Miskunasian human woman named Liucinaa. She an a couple of women she employs make a variety of clothing. Her husband Vaclovas is a hunter and tanner and provides his wife with a variety of furs and hides to help the business operate.  

The Flailing Fish

This is a small, rundown tavern that serves the more unsavory elements of the village. The proprietor of the tavern is a one-eyed Miskunasian human man named Mantas.
