Drax
Drax sr Starin, a Sarang (a.k.a. The Destroyer)
Drax is a Kylosian former intergalactic Criminal, and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He was one of the heroes slain by Thanos during the Infinity War, becoming one of the Fallen Heroes, before eventually being ressurected by Gamora using The Phoenix Force.
His wife Ovette was killed by Ronan the Accuser, but his daughter, who originally died alongside her mother, was restored to life by Michael Korvac, becoming Moondragon, one of the Daughters of Thanos and a foster-sister to Drax's Guardians teammates Gamora and Nebula.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Drax is in peak physical condition for his species.
Identifying Characteristics
He has extensive scarification, in the form of complex patterns, which cover much of his body, including his face. As well as symbols connected to his bloodline, village, tribe, and the completion of certain religious rites, they include a large depiction of a kamaria, or water dragon, in honour of his daughter, Kamaria sa Ovette.
Physical quirks
As a kylosian, he possesses Super-Strength (by the standards of humans) and extremely thick and durable skin, which makes him somewhat impervious to harm.
His vision is achromatic. However, while living among species who possess colour vision he has learned to identify some colours based on the shade of grey. He uses words from a variety of languages to describe colours, since kylosian lacks any words for colour (though it has an entensive vocabulary for shades of light and dark).

Special abilities
He is a master of Dwi-Thweet, a martial art native to kylos. Since leaving his home planet, he has suplemented this with lessons learned from fighting people of many different cultural and martial backgrounds, making him an extremely dangerous close-quarters combatant.
He is a competant pilot, able to fly a variety of star ships.

Specialized Equipment
He usually uses a pair of Dwi-Thweet knives in combat, mid-length combat daggers which can be thrown or used in close-quarters fighting.
He is competant in the use of a variety of guns and ranged weapons, but prefers to use mele weapons whenever possible, as guns are generally considered a dishonourable weapon outside of certain specific battlefield situations by kylosian culture.
Like most interstellar or intergalactic travellers, he has a universal translator chip permanently embedded, although these are notoriously unreliable for kylosians, due to certain the literal nature of their native language.

Gender Identity
He is a cisgender man, by the standards of his species. However, Kylosian culture makes almost no social distinction between the sexes, and as such, gender is not an important concept or feature of identity for most kylosians.
Sexuality
Straight
Education
Recieved a normal education by the standards of his culture, covering hunting, Dwi-Thweet martial arts, the oral history and faith of the Sarang Tribe, and some knowledge of the spoken Skrull language.
Kylosians do not use a written language among one another, but Drax, like most of his generation, learned to read and write the Skrull alphabet, since it was recognised that a knowledge of written language was necessary when dealing with other species.

Employment
On his home planet, his role in the tribe was as a Warrior and hunter.
After leaving Kylos, he became an intergalactic maurauder and Criminal, before joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, becoming an Adventurer and Superhero.

Mental Trauma
Drax witnessed the genocide of his people by Thanos's Armies <WIP>, lead by Ronan the Accuser. His wife and daughter were among the dead, and he is haunted by their loss, and his own failure to protect them, even though there was nothing he could reasonably have done.
His daughter's death was later undone, when reality was warped by Michael Korvac, but this resulted in her being adopted by Thanos, raised in his genocidal philosophy, and did not alter Drax's memories of watching her die.

Intellectual Characteristics
The Kylosian language is completely literal, using no metaphors or allusions. As a result, he often struggles to understand speakers of other languages, even with the aid of universal translation, due to this cultural difference.
He is a man of action, rather than contemplation, and does not particularly value academic education or achievement, or intellectual pursuits.

Social
Contacts & Relations
While trapped in Soul World, he formed friendships with several of the other Fallen Heroes, especially Savage Hulk and W'Kabi.
Family Ties
Since his ressurection, he has begun rebuilding his relationship with his daughter, Moondragon, though this is challenging due to the seven years of extreme brainwashing and abuse she suffered as one of the Daughters of Thanos.
He is fond of all his Guardians of the Galaxy teammates, but especially Mantis, who he considers family. He has only refrained from asking her to swear a fraternal oath out of concern that she would not survive the ritual duel.

Religious Views
While not particularly religious or spiritual, he retains his faith in the religion of his Tribe. However, as the religion is closely tied to the land and ecosystem of kylos, this has little impact on his day to day life.
Social Aptitude
Drax often struggles to connect or get along with members of other species, though this is due more to cultural misunderstandings and differences than his personality. In addition to the complete lack of euphamism or allusion in the kylosian language, which can make them appear blunt, or even stupid, kylosians highly value honesty in speech, to the point of seeming rude or even aggressive to most other species.
Despite these limitations, he is fairly amiable, and rarely means to cause offence.

Relationships
History
Drax was an attentive and loving father, and they were close when Moondragon was a child.
However, when she was seven, she was kidnapped by Thanos, who made her one of his Daughters, indoctrinating her to believe that Drax had abandonned her, and Thanos was her true father.
She has since broken free of Thanos's control, and but their relationship is still strained, but they are both actively working on improving it.
History
They were a well matched couple, and deeply in love. Although it has been seven years since Ovette's death, Drax has never considered beginning a new romantic relationship, and intends to remain single for the rest of his life.
Wealth & Financial state
Coming from a pre-industrial collectivist society, Drax has little interest in money or material possessions.
